I have loved Qawwali music for the last thirty years, and this is when there is a merging between Eastern and Western influences. Ultimately we are all a single Humanity in the eyes of the ONE. In our diversity, we are the same Humanity with a unifying pain that must be overcome. When we accept that our sociological and national divides are barriers that need to come down, then we can become a unified Humanity. Devotional music of Qawwali is a beautiful way to help destroy those barriers and brings a unifying force to all.

Was at their Celtic Connections concert last night. Absolutely incredible! The entire room was enthralled. We actually called them out for an encore and they hadn't expected it at all, didn't matter that they repeated the first song because it was just so good. @@Lxcis agree and disagree. Accessibility is so important. Teaching and educating is so important. How can we do that if we keep everything to ourselves. Instead we should have our people spearhead. I would never have been so impacted by Sufi if it wasn’t for Coke Studio. Captions, behind the scenes, interviews with Sufi singers...CS provided that education to me. From that i branched out on my own. There should be a balance. 💜

Absolutely brilliant. Abi's vocals are next level but all the artists are briliant in their own way. Shows like The Voice UK can't do justice to Indian Classical and Sufi singers. Abi is well beyond such ordinary shows.
