Yacht Docking Made Easy - "Yacht Controller" Review | BoatTEST 

This is a commercial...not a product test.

Was watching a Sunseeker video a couple of years back, one of their main brokers (the famous James) on a bigger boat, a well-spec'd yacht being delivered to a client, he was giving a features tour. He showed the aft docking station moulding, opened it, but it was empty. To quote as close as I can, "the client didn't opt for the 3rd docking station, like most of our clients these days they opt for a Yacht Controller instead." I thought it was interesting, that experienced boaters purchasing multi-million vessels trust Yacht Controller so much they don't even bother to get the 3rd station installed.

While this did feel more like an infomercial than a review, I do appreciate the information provided. When/if I ever get my dream vessel I'd definitely love to have this system (or one very like it) installed since it would come in very handy on The Loop.

I'm wondering if companies like this one, are looking at automated docking via LIDAR and such. One would think that will be the future.
