I still love when Kolten Wong managed to get a steal off Yadi and literally took the bag home as a trophy

The cardinals had by far the fewest stolen base attempts against during yadis reign. He was truly feared, and anyone who says he’s not a HOFer is ignorant.

I grew up in St Louis during Yadi’s tenure and thought that stealing just never worked and hardly ever was attempted because of it never working. Little did I know that Yadi was just that good

Very few catchers get this respect. Molina and Pudge are 2 that come to mind right off top. Their presence behind the plate could literally change and teams game plan. Some tough shoes for anyone to fill.

As a Reds fan, I have always hated Yadier Molina. I always loved watching Billy Hamilton steal bases on him. Sucks that Billy was never able to figure out how to get on base. Be nice if the Reds had a catcher like Yadi these days because Stephenson and Maile cannot stop any steals. opposing hitters are gonna be stealing bases all over the Reds this year and there is nothing they can do about it because their catchers suck.
