Fascinating, it had not occurred to me to use the integral sound card for IMD measurement. A lot of merit in avoiding the usual ground loops and nonsense with other methods.
I love watching videos that are done by people that have more knowledge of a subject than I do. I find that it is a great way to learn new things. Thank you!
Great video and analysis... It would be interesting to see the same result thru your RF2K-S amp.... is that possible? I see you have the amp CAT attached to the FTDX101MP... what cable are you using for this (I have an RF2k-S on order for hopefully November delivery). Is the CAT cable a custom cable or something off the shelf?? Keep up the good work. Cheers. Art W1SWL
I did do some testing on with the RF Kit amp but not on video. I made a video on the CAT interface cable here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jiHF4LyTrdE.html
@@damonkj7e Yep, saw that Damon, just ordered that cable and a DB9-Y as well.... I too have the 101MP.... love the radio for my uses... Also have the Green Heron rotor control which is solid and plug and play. Use it with the Ham Radio Deluxe software for regular QSOs... Keep up the good work there. Art W1SWL
