John 1 :1 in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with Elohim and the Word WAS Elohim !!! Shalum, I love you. I believe even with different understandings on The Name that we are siblings. I used to say yeshua as well. However, yeshua is the Aramaic way to say HIS NAME, not Hebrew. This was something I learned a little later in my walk. In the concordance under jesus you will see of Hebrew origin יהושע. However yeshua is Aramaic and would be spelled ישוע. Hope this helps. Shalum beloved, thank you for commenting and sharing and I believe you when you say you share out of love and not gain. I believe you make valid points about the name jesus being more well known. However, I would say that The Name YAHUSHA Is becoming known as we enter closer to the last days. For me when I Read Matthew 7:21-23, it seems there are many who might have a surface level relationship with HIM But don’t truly know HIM. They are casting out demons, they are doing many mighty works, they are prophesying in HIS NAME, however because they were Lawless (The Greek says without mosaic law) that HE Never Knew them. I would say that regardless of who hates us it doesn’t really prove a name because I believe we will all have different names but The Same Person (Messiah). For me I know siblings who say Jesus, Yeshua, Yahshua, etc but they all have The Same Messiah in mind and I believe all of us will be hated and persecuted the same when the time comes for our Belief in The Son and Messiah. I would say that they would come after us more for our Beliefs and ideals and what we refuse to do during this time but again it hasn’t happened yet so none of us truly know the fullness. The persecution could be more subtle, it could be over refusal to take a mark or a refusal to do something that might seem secular on the surface but spiritually is persecution because we are choosing Messiah and HIS Ways but not being explicitly told that’s the reason why. I believe the name jesus isn’t 500 years old yet because of the letter J, which is a common argument but true before that it was iesous it seems but these are transliterations of The Name HE Was actually called, יהושע when you check a KJV concordance for the name jesus you will see of Hebrew Origin יהושע which some believe says yehoshua if you choose to use the maesoretic vowel points but if you choose not to use those niqqud marks after learning the history behind them then you will see HIS NAME Is YAHUSHA. I hope this helps. I don’t believe persecution is the best way to determine The Right Name as I truly believe a lot of a persecutors will not be very learned in The Ways Of The Father. I believe regardless of what Name we have, as long as we are speaking of The Same Person and Striving for The Same Righteousness Prescribed in The Bible, we will be hated and persecuted. It seems most of us if not all will go through it despite our small or big differences as a Body/Community. More reason to stick together and love one another. I also wanted to say there is no such thing as the 613 laws. This is a rabbinical created by a “rabbi” (call no man rabbi). Contrary to what many believe (I used to believe this too before I was made aware) Judaism and following The Torah/Law are two different things. The 613 is rabbinical and they should be thrown out. When reading just The Law and The Prophets there are far less than 613. Many being things christians already do. Of course eating clean, The Sabbath (One Of The 10 Commandments), etc are some of the things christians don’t desire to do mainly because of their interpretations of The Epistles of Paul even though Peter warns us many twist his letters unto their own destruction so do not be carried away with their error of lawlessness (similar to what The Messiah told that group of people HE Never Knew). I truly believe that we should repent of sin and Believe. The Law shows us what sin is, 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. One thing I find interesting beloved brother is that our doing and teaching of The Law and Prophets will affect our ranking in The Kingdom. If The Law was done away with then why would our future status be affect if we don’t do and Teach The Law & The Prophets.
