That F540 is only about a 2845 under those cooling fins. Maybe two thirds the power of the 3650, so there's one third more current even before the additional current of the shorter winding of the higher KV motor. It was always going to blow a cheap 60A esc. Especially overvolted.

Great comparison on the 2 motors. I 'm new to all this so it gets a bit confusing. A quality 60 amp ESC should be able to handle 3s. So if you went over voltage with the motor it should have smoked rather than the ESC. "Working voltage of the motor is decided by the ESC, whilst the voltage of ESC is decided by the output of batteries. Hence the total voltage of batteries must be equal or less than the maximum voltage of motor."

That’s weird, if it’s a 60A ESC should handle 3s lipo I see lots of videos here in RU-vid seems like you got a factory lemon maybe, hope mines come good I just ordered one of them hopefully I get a good one, maybe since you mess with settlings with reader maybe that’s why who knows good video 👍🏻
@@lupillos7404 the esc was designed for the 3300 kv motor being that it was a combo and the esc's components were made for that specific motor, once he put the 4300 kv motor in, it was either drawing way to much current and overloaded the esc while it was drawing more current from the battery for the motor, or it was too much load and was pushing current back into the esc and it finally gave out due to heat and fried one of the main chips in the esc stopping the motor but still semi functional

You can't compare those motors as they are different sizes. If you have 2 motors the same size then the higher kv will be quicker. If you have a much bigger motor with 2000kv it will be a lot faster than the small motor with 5000kv. The size of motors is important
Not true, higher kv is more rpm hence more speed....BUT! the higher kv motor does not have the torque to pull a heavier car. The bigger the car, the lower the kv motor for more torque, then you use more voltage to get your speed back. This is why 1/8th scale cars are running 6s with low 2000kv motors and 1/10 scale on road cars are running 6-8000kv motors but only on 2s, they don't need the torque in a light car, so your using high kv to get speed, not voltage. Alot of bad information on here you guys got a lot to learn yet! 👍🏻
Maybe the battery is too low, all the rc cars that I have the motor cuts out when it gets too low but the steering still works, might have just gotten too low, but idk
i tried it bro...i swap we new fresh battery and it confirm the esc...as other told me, i did wrong and i agreed. i shouldn't pair 3S battery with 4300kv motor and 60A ESC as it will burnt out the ESC..i should use higher ESC rating for 3S and 4300kv motor combo. I have 120 hobbywing but havent have a chance to install and test it..
if you continue using the 4300kv motor, with 3s you will end up burning the motor, if you multiply the 4300kv by the volts offered by a fully charged 3s battery, which is 13.1 volts, you will see that it exceeds the limit of revolutions that a motor can withstand, which are 50,000 revolutions, 4,300 multiplied by 13.1 gives 56,000 revolutions. Sooner or later you will end up burning the engine by going over the revolution limit that a brussels engine can withstand.
When the ESC is 2s and 3s power 4 pole motor the higher the kV the faster the motor, when you have ESC that's 6s and 8s power the lower the kV the faster the motor, it's vice versa...the opposite
WRONG, higher kv is ALWAYS faster. Voltage x Kv= rpm of motor. people run lower kv motors on 6s cars for the torque needed from larger heavier cars and then use 6s or 8s voltage to get the rpm of motor up for more speed. U could run a 1750kv motor on 3s, it'll just be slow as hell speed wise. 👍🏻

HSP is a copy of REDCAT Buggy..so it has been around so long. And it still popular until today aroud budget RC player and beginner..its a great buggy for beginner who is just testing the hobby as it not that very expensive if compare with well known brand out there.

Hello, just watched your blog where u hit the garbage bin. I bent my shock tower too. It went under a car I think, I was breaking hard as well so shouldn't have bent it as much as it did? I took my HSP XSTR OUT yesterday with speed app on Moble taped to it and got 27mph. There are not very strong cars, so if I use mine in road have to keep speed down to avoid more damage. Yup, no point of having fast car if you cannot control it. My goal is not to have a very fast car but rather enough speed that i can enjoy it. My range normally in 60 to 70 Km/hrs.

So far i have one 10th scale buggy, one 8th scale Nitro buggy and 5th scale Petrol Rovan Baja..and one TRX4 Traxxas crawler....the most giving me a headache is 5th Scale Rovan Baja..but i still enjoying the repairing process. And not to forget i have 2 WLtoys A959 and A979, both this little devil is very fast and uncontrollable. So among all my buggy..i really like my 5th Scale ROVAN Baja and i use to play it alot.

@@yairc Hello bro, thank you for the video. I think the best choice for these buggies is to run them on 3300kv motors. On 2s they have a very good speed to have fun and they remain controllable. On 3s they will be faster and more difficult to control and you will not be able to use full throttle for more than a few seconds. The 4300kv motor is good for 2s but in my opinion for 3s is too much. Buggy becomes less controllable and full throttle you will almost never use it. And remember, higher kv motors draw more current from the battery, so they give you less running time. Happy rc'ing !
Those 60amp ESC running 3s on a 4300kv motor is running on the absolute limit. Shouldn't run higher than a 3800kv on 3s. They are super chinesium lol Also that f540 motor is actually a 380 size motor with a finned 540.can around it. Hence the "F" 540-finned 540. That's why u were able to run it on 3s cause it's not a real 540.
TBH those 60 Amp ESC can handle 3s all day long it's all dependant on if you motor draws more than the esc can handle , I got a chinesium 60 amp ESC running a 5200kv motor on 3s 100c in Tamiya Egress and have been bashing it the past 3 years with no problem at all

Hai bro, nak kena tengok size motor juga bro. Brushless ka brushed? Kalau motor brushless 4000kv ke atas kena pakai atleast 80A ke atas kalau nak pakai 3S. Surpass Hobby so far berpatutan dan ada juga comment tahan lasak juga. Tapi kalau tak nak pening kepala memang Hobbywing. Semua tu investment.
i have an( reely tc- 04 )/ (1/10) there is no motor in it so i like to buy an motor an esc for it but i would like to have an car that can hit 120 kmh plus i dont have to drive that hard but if it can go that fast it would be nice ... my quastion is what is the best motor and esc to buy to hit that ?
You actually made a serious error with this setup. Esc's manual says the limit for 3s use is 2600kv or lower. So both those motors exceed max current, that this esc can reliably supply. So the esc will burn sooner or later.
Also for 2s use, the max kV is 3300. So 4300kv motor shouldn't be used with this esc at all. Maybe in very specific use scenarios, where gearing is very low, RC is small scale and very light etc.
@@polishguywithhardtospellna8227 Well my wltoys 124017v2 comes with 4300kv and 60amp esc and there is no problem on 2s.its how it comes out the box .I've never had any problems with any cars or setup running high kv motors 5000/6000 and not had problems with 2s. Now 3s is a different story. I'm just interested why you think 60amp on 2s can't handle high kv,or did you mean that exact esc ?

Cogging tu...motor 4000kv keatas biasa ada cogging... Cogging tu bila tekan throttle sangkut2 pergi... Effectnya motor & esc cepat panas...solusi biasa kecilkan pinion atau pakai motor bawah 3900kv... 4000kv ++++ utk main speed run sesuai, kalau track lompat2 better 3300-3600kv
@@kerimustundag9661 3s uses high amp which depend on the motor. Again you are using 3900kv motor which will use up to 90% of the esc capacity if you used 3s battery. To he safe try to use your esc at 50 to 60% of it capacity. Higher amp esc is dummy proof.

@@yairc what he wrote is true: simply said the inside of the f540 (armature) is really a 380 size motor in a 540 can. A 540 size (no F) of the same KV will be much stronger (ie pull less amps, and produces more torque) Think of it like engine size; a 200 hp 2.0 liter compared to a 200 hp 3.5 or 4.0 liter engine.🤟
bro, kalau aku punya buggy lah, aku pakai motor 5200kv, batery 75c 3s, esc 120a. so far the speed can get 83kmh. aku pakai gear 26t. act before this aku pakai esc 150c double batery, tapiiii dah 2 bijik motor aku burn, satu 9000kv satu lagi 5200kv

You can also push lower kv for high speeds with gearing plus a 6s system or 4s depending on how the batteries are on discharge rate. I run a 3300 kv spectrum combo do 50 on 2s with 56 tooth spur and 20 tooth pinion gear. on 3s is a different story.

Ada sedikit pemilihan motor dan ESC juga lah, sbb burst rate ni umpama paip air...makin besar pipe, makin senang air nak lalu..makin kecil pipe..makin susah air nak lalu..battery boleh panas kalau pakai low discharge rate. Sy pun tak berapa arif juga. Sy tunggu ESC baru sampai, pastu sy nak buat video comparison sekali beza pakai 60C dan 100C battery. Tgk ada perbezaan speed dan kepanasan battery. Sbb ESC besar macam mana pun, kalau motor tak memerlukan Amp tinggi..tak juga dia akan beri effect apa2 pun. Senang cerita..semua bergantung kepada load Motor. Sy tak berapa minat dgn technical data yg mendalam ni..hehehe..sy suka on kreta dan radio, main and have fun. Tu je..my speed range dlm 70 dan 60km/h je..kalau kreta sy sampai tahap tu..sy dah berpuas hati.
