In todays video we install a Yakima roof rack system on my 2018 silverado and it looks sick!!! Tower 4 pk part #8000146 Jetstream Bar Slv 60 part #8000429 baseclip 122 (b31-5) part #8006122
Thanks for the video! It helped me decide to pull the trigger on a similar thule set up for my Silverado. Fingers crossed it works great for my skis and paddle board. I was originally going to get a set up that goes over the bed of my truck but the paddle board is 12’ long and I didn’t want it hanging out the back that far
Looks great! Looking to do the same and trying to figure out the best mounts between Yakima and Thule. I really like the way these Yakima's fit. Any comments now that you have had them on for awhile?
It looks clean af, I have a 99 f250 with a 4” lift and stock on the rear with 24x14’s on 33’s and I’m from Texas 😂 people around here hate me lmao, I think it’s cool how your from Alabama and have a different taste in trucks than most southern people 👍🏼
Any issues with leaking? I tried Thule on a Silverado 2011 and I have leaks. Trying to mount a solar panel, but at a standstill. May have to screw on rails.
i am thinking of doingthis to my my 2018 Silverado. I have a toolbox in the back of mine and my kayak is 12'. I liked putting my kayak on my FJ Cruiser. It just worked so much better. I am thinking of doing the same with the truck... I bought the truck to put the kayaks in the bed, but i like having a trunk (toolbox). how are you liking yours so far?
Looks great and thanks for sharing the video! I have a '16 ltz, crew cab, short bed, and am looking for a roof rack solution. I love the look and low-profile design of the stuff from Prinsu but can't find a brand that makes them in that style for the GM trucks. I may have missed it in the video but how far above the top of the cab is the top of the crossbar? Looks like it's around 6" or so...? Cheers!
man i wish they made roof racks with handles at each door way. so i can grab it to get into my truck, i like these though theyre nice but can i put kayaks on it?
this is what I'm looking for for my truck, could I get the size of each part that you purchased? I know the bars are 60 inches but I don't know the size of the other products?
Looks good. How are you liking it a year later? I’ve been looking for a setup like this for a bit to carry my kayak when my truck bed is full of stuff for camping.
Uncle Philippe yea that’s all you see here roof racks with kayak mounts kids don’t use... they like gluing Tahoe racks to the roof with liquid nails 😂 atleast his is legit and useful looks good
I’d say cut the extra 6 inches or so off that stick out past the mounts and put the end cap back on it’ll give it a cleaner look instead of having so much stick off that what I done with mine
Everyone is selling their pickups and getting lifted Suburbans with utility trailers and bass boats in Socal and NorNev now. SUPER HOT!!! AMERICA!!!! :)
Roof rack..... you just turned your show truck look into a work truck look. What the hell a roof rack for looks. Just my opinion lol my wife would beat my a$$ over that purchase price too. If your happy I’m happy.
Hi , i'm searching for a rack like this to go with my yakima tail hitch ext " ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uPzXlrTIH4E.html " so i can mount 2 kayaks because i have a Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover as well i want kept there and this was an option i seen that looked smart. , i been told it wouldn't work for my 2020 silverado 1500 custom cab. from with i see in your video here is the same as my trucks cab up top there with the grooves being the same it seems. was i told wrong ? and if not is there some options i can go about to be able to carry my kayaks on my truck?
