@@LordDeathAkuhe survived when Kiryu did that to him because his intent is to always not kill but Kuze on the other hand was able to kill him for not listening to him cuz he was a bad ass yakuza and that other guy was just fckng retarded or something to do that in front of fckng Kuze. Even Kuze himself wanted Kiryu to kill him in the second fight lmao he thought the only true victory was by killing others but I think at the end he actually felt Kiryu’s pain that Tachibana died and even looked up to him.
After binge playing the Yakuza series(and loving every second) I realize why the series moved away from it’s classic combat system with 0, 6 and especially 7 It’s because 5 absolutely perfected that original system and there was no way to improve upon it so they opted to changing it
Yakuza 5 removed wallbounding entirely, bosses block all the time and unlike previous games, you can barely do anything besides spamming same moves, normal enemies grab every 5 seconds and in general there is a lack of polish everywhere only comparable to Dragon Engine games, where everything is broken. Thats not series peak
@@Hajber I never really took the combat mechanics as deep or complex like Devil May Cry if anything it’s the exact opposite but with so many options 5 has the best feeling, Kiryu and everyone else feel so smooth to control and executing moves feels awesome I do agree about enemies blocking everything but you could say that about almost every installment in the series it isn’t really exclusive to 5
@@kruegerpoolthe13th Yeah its an awesome game but ingoring its flaws is the reason why we havent seen much innovation since the PS3 days. Yeah blocking is not exclusive, but unlike other games here you have barely any options other than just tank damage and spam same moves. Both Yakuza 2 and 4 had more interesting combat before this game came out. Better in terms of complexity, sound design, weightiness. Yakuza 5 has just better looking visuals and thats kinda it
The best thing about yakuza 5 kiryu is that you don't need heat to do bounding throws so you can just do them whenever you want making him the most unbalanced he's ever been.
I'm replaying Kiwami 2, almost gonna restart 3, but man this combat looks so fun to play if you've never played it before like me. Same goes for Akiyama in 4
@@Soradakanizat As far as I remember 4 - His money got stolen but manage to get it back. 5 - I don't think he has any problem with his old office. 6 - He need to close the company temporarily because of his own safety. So I think 6 is the close one if we talk about bankcrupt.
I dont think he ever went bankrupt in 4 yeah he got robbed but got it back in the end, in 5 he just opened a new location in Sotenbori, and in 6 he closed up shop temporarily because he was hiding from the Saio Triads in yakuza 6
For once I wish they would make a fighting game like Yakuza you know with good story but realistic fighting combat.. Don't get me wrong, Yakuza games are fun! The best ones being judgment games because the beat um up combat is the best in any game that company ever developed! Ever! But I just mean like have the fighting actually realistic.. Like instead of having 2 by 4 snapping sounds when you hit a man or whips slashing sounds when you punch someone have it sounds like actual fists hitting a human body. Also, instead if the guy go flying over 14 buildings from one quick jab, have the guy have a realistic result. Like, have rush or heat actions but instead of spinning around the enemys head 5 times doing and quadruple backflip flipping him into outer space and slamming him back down again, 😒, have a really awesome realisssssstic combo and you slamming him into a building window or car window. Just actually have the fighting seem more realistic.. A game would be way more satisfying than that kinda of crazy stuff.. It's just Overly cartoonish and way to exaggerated!! It's fun. Don't misunderstand me. But a more realistic fighting game with realistic fighting combat would be so fun and amazing to see, one because nobody has really ever captured that. Also, on updated graphics it would be a really neat spectacle and very satisfying!
@@aymanventurina3285 and they can keep that. I'm talking about another game development. The idea I'm talking about would bring a whole awesome experience to the fighting game. Best graphic like with ure5 . even though consoles wouldn't be able to push that engine well.. But have a good story but realistic combat. If your not agreeing that's fine but i believe you're not seeing what im talking about. Make skills trees and awesome mechanics just have a more realistic approach to the fighting style. Like things like a bone breaking camera when you time a hit just right kinda something like in sniper games showing the skull getting hit. Things like that. I'm not saying yakuza should do it or change what they have even. I'm talking about a different development team all together. Bring something like that. If you don't see what I'm talking well that's fine. Guess its only me then. Not saying take the cartoony fighting games away. Just add another fighting type game. Anyway just my thoughts
Idk if you already past it or quit by now but I had the same mindset going into it and its not that bad, it wasn't my favorite but it was like 3 hours. Plus imo shinadas part is fun so I'd say its worth it
