@@garrettoliva5154 If the Tojo knew about amon, Kiryu would be screwed, because he would receive phone calls or letters asking for his help daily, not that it matters now anyway.
@@garrettoliva5154 well he does. In yakuza 7, after completeing the final secret boss(nudge nudge point stab stab) kiyru comes out for himself and have talk with amon.
"I am going to kill you Kiryu Kazuma!" "Wanna join my gang?" At this point there's basically no other school of thought than thinking that Kiryu is majorly suicidal.
MrFedoraGrey Well it's a shame that they are done with Kiryu, because Amon Everywhere could have been so insanely awesome. Just imagine: fucking air-strikes while getting a Lemon-C, drones chasing you on Tenkaichi street. That would've been an all out crazy bomb-ass feature
Or Jo messing around with Shin Kasuga lamenting how he can't go after Kiryu anymore so he purposely stays weak until the ranking rises to see if Shin is able to emulate the dragon. Maybe take a stab at how his VA is shared with Nishiki "You can try as hard as you can, but you will never cross that waterfall"

Ok so the fact that amon can put up a good fight against both kiryu and kenshiro means that either kiryu and kenshiro are the same strength or amon was holding back.
Gonna assume it's the former. I wouldn't be surprised if Kiryu had some sort of magical powers that he doesn't talk about. Then again, Amon has access to less resources in this more realistic world, then he does in Fist of the North Star. I mean, he turns into a skyscraper briefly in his fight against Kenshiro!
I feel once Shin Yakuza comes over they'll have you fight a new Amon, to be honest the Amon fights are super exciting and challenging.....unless you Kiwami Amon that is
@@decima8785 honestly thats cool but I reaally would wish they would tell us who these Amon dudes are, they have tons of memebers and yet the only thing we know of them is that they are beyond good and or evil. And one of them has a huuuge hate boner for the Main Character.
@@Hello-rm2nj Amons are actualy as strong as Kiryu so it would be played just like a typical yakuza games But there would be secret boss which is as hard as Amon

Itd be pretty sick if in the next gen Yakuza would introduce a next gen Amon descendant or something. Also wished this had a dynamic intro, because the soundtrack is just too sick.
Oh wow, you really improved since you played the japanese version. I remember you getting almost killed by the drones two times, but now they could barely touch you. Good job man!
@Crazeh Boi I think it was yakuza 5 that had removed a bunch of content from the english version like some talk shows and some minigames but idk specifics
@@Artemi22 The talk show segments remained in the game, with the only cut content I'm aware of being the remastered version lacking subtitles for when random encounter enemies start berating you before a fight. You might be confusing it with Yakuza 3, which had a whole lot of cut content such as many substories (some even removed in the remaster), cut out the minigame on Japanese trivia and several other factors. The games since Yakuza 4 have been mostly a 100% faithful transfer beyond some changes to opening music and the remaster of Y4 making a slight alteration to one line of dialogue.

I love that, despite doing two sick ass, cinematic zoom-in kicks to the guy, _you're_ the one getting you're ass kicked. I hadn't even noticed you had dropped to like 15% HP until you popped open the menu and healed, at which point your entire healthbar lit up.
Fought against him for the first time in yakuza 6 yesterday he's hard asf and people wanted this amon to have more life you're kidding those drones are annoying asf
I made Amon ridiculously easy on myself and bypassed a lot: Literally, all I did was quickstep punch him over and over and over and over and I eventually won No exploding roombas, no drones, no shield, no worry. If he's gonna be a cheap son of a bitch, I'll be more than happy to deliver being a cheap ass lol
Glad to know I'm not the only one who sometimes tries this trick on enemies. Reminds me of the ultra Instinct quickstepping of Rush style in Yakuza 0 haha
I saw another video recently on how to deal with the shield. If you pick up a mine and throw it at Amon, it will explode and disable the shield. Keep in mind that it also blows up any nearby drones, so don't get too close when throwing it.
Up until now, I only fought Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 4 and 6's Amons. Same as you, 6 is my first Amon fight. I didn't even know what was I expecting and I died 2 times when I tried to fight him (darn explosive drones!)... these are indeed really hard challenging boss fights. Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, in Yakuza 0 I fought Jo Amon only, haven't even unlocked So Amon yet because I was too embarassed to finish sexual-content substories in order to unlock the fight...
Am I the only one, who slightly felt bad for Jo Amon at the end of this fight? The tone in his voice after being defeated and kneeling down, you can almost hear the pain and embarrassment of defeat.
If there was a project x zone with Marvel in it, an Infinity Gauntlet Powered Amon would Prove a Real hard Challenge, or if Amon brought Kiryu past Rivals as a sort of Reality manipulation to weaken him like bringing Nishiki, Mine, Lau Gui and others.
5:26 I love how Kiryu at this point is bored of Amon and sick of his schtick. He's done trying to convince him to give up and he's done trying to teach him why he keeps losing.
I just finished the game and I gotta say that Amon is the toughest boss to beat especially if you play the hard mode. I died three times playing the hard mode before switching to easy mode, but I still died once in the easy mode coz of the bombs
Wanna know something stupid? So everyone knows you have to clear all substories before you can fight Amon in the previous Yakuza games, yes? Well upon playing the game, I unlocked the Amon battle immediately after beating Saigo & Sodachi, didn’t even finish the other substories XD
I like that he used superhuman powers, orbital lasers and other futuristic sci-fi weapons in previous games but i had the most trouble dealing with shitty dollar store drones and roombas.
You know, the Amon fight in this one could have been way better if.. 1 ) He wasn't so weak. What happened Jo? (The drones and roombas were pretty cool tho') 2 ) The battle happened on top of the Yamagato Mk. II battleship, instead of this floating parking spot. Or just 3 ) This was all just a prelude to his *final form* that consist of those two.
Hey Devilleon.. great stuff as usual :) I apologize if you've previously stated this but how does Yakuza 6 place for you after having played both versions... mainly in terms of story because as far as I'm aware I know you've enjoyed the combat. Thanks in advance for the chance to reply.
This fight is making me want to cry. Died about 15 times on Normal, whether it's by drones, Amon's massive spinning attack that isn't in this video or just getting overwhelmed. Anyone have any tips besides this video? Because I've tried the patient game, which works up until the field gets too busy.
Gahhhh... I tried so hard doing this fight without any buffs. No boosted attack or anything. Just peak kiryu taking on Amon. By the time I'd drop him to when he has that bubble around him, I can hardly freaking walk straight anymore BECAUSE EVERY STEP IS INTO A FUCKING FLYING DRONE!!! alas... a C.C lemon made me able to take him down in one go. Idk if you can do this fight without any buffs...
you can beat him without buff but it takes a while. And by that i mean literally an hour to perfect dodge him, the drones, the rombas and the explosions.
