Great work! I think that the weight of the seedling as well as the right soil composition will give us larger tubers, but let's wait for the experiment. Thanks for sharing.

Well done sir, from my experience, size matters. I have not harvested but from the sprouting you will know as the smaller ones shoots are smaller while the bigger ones are bigger, that will determine our sizes.

I planted the same size as batch one. I mixed sand, charcoal and sawdust with chicken manure to use in the sack. I will record my findings and send to you

Great idea Sir, more blessing from above. I believed you mixed sawdust with the sand. Not pure sawdust. Mixture of sawdust and sand right?

Sir Nature Heritage, I have a very important question. Assuming a yam has broken dormancy and it has sprouted to like 1ft or 2ft, Pls do we need to cut off the already sprout before planting ? or there is a specific height we need to reduce the sprout to ?, I anticipate your response thanks.
@Naturesheritagenetwork
@Naturesheritagenetwork 3 месяца назад
Good question. I don't. I plant and allow it choose a new path for the new sprout, which it usually does on its own.
@dunet_of_dunah
@dunet_of_dunah 3 месяца назад
If I get you correctly, you mean the yam that already sprouts to like 1ft or 2ft , when planted will form a new sprouts and abandon the already spouts ?
@dunet_of_dunah
@dunet_of_dunah 3 месяца назад
Or are you saying that the already sprouts Yam [like 1ft to 2ft ] , after planted will continue to grow through its old sprouts ?
@dunet_of_dunah
@dunet_of_dunah 3 месяца назад
Because I have some yam I want to plant, and most have broken dormancy and even grown to like 1ft or 2ft, I'm not certain if I should cut the already grown sprouts before planting or just plant it like that ,
@Naturesheritagenetwork
@Naturesheritagenetwork 3 месяца назад
No. They will choose a path from the already sprouted vine. New sprout may come from another part of it or it can actually continue from that point. Either way, you win. My experience though
