Yamada removes Akane's hair clip | Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru 

This was a REALLY smooth way to show Yamada's budding interest in Akane without making it creepy. The only reason she tied up her hair was out of guilt for accidentally hurting Yamada (and she really went overboard by tying it up, instead of just being more careful with it from then on). Otherwise she would've kept it as is. Now, Yamada evidently prefers her usual hair style and therefore pulled the pin, not realizing/acknowledging the deeper motives behind this impulse. But if he'd just pulled it WITHOUT the previous set up (i.e. Akane's consideration for him turned into an overkill), now that, would've been creepy. If Akane had intentionally tied her hair up, because she WANTED TO, and then Yamada had just pulled it free anyway, he would've really disrespected her boundaries. Even now the story makes sure to show us that 1) he told her about it and apologized and 2) she was really okay with it.
