Yamaha Aerox 155 Ownership Experience || Most Powerful Scooter in India || 

Just to make a correction. In this scooter only the ENGINE is imported from Indonesia. But the entire body and chassis of this scooter is and will be manufactured in India. So the spare parts initially will have some teething problems but it shouldn't last forever as they are all made in India. Some cities are still waiting for the launch, I am from bombay and not a single yamaha dealer over here has received a display unit nor a test ride scooter. I am amazed by the Yamaha Aerox 155's design. Totally loved it.

My first choice was Aerox 155 but went ahead with Aprilla SXR 160. Got it for 1.5L. like Aerox , the suspension is on stiffer side. I love Aprilla's design.

i have been riding aerox for along time cover more than 5000 KM till now,,in my experience it is good scooter but not for everyone as it is not practical scooter,,it is all about performance oriented scooter so one have to sacrifice on milleage especially on city/town route,,considering the price almost 2lakh the palstic quality is not up to the mark, especially on the fuel secondary plastic cap it is so soft and easy breakable, the pillion seat is aiso so hard/stiff it is not that comfortable especially on bad road, suspension is aiso stiff one ,aiso after a while if we press even gently on speedometer plastic cover there is some crack sound i think, this is due to low plastic quality that soft the plastic after few month it even has a gab on it,,, for maxi styling scooter lover i think burgman 125cc is one of the best as it provide good mileage, good per formance, it can aiso cruise around 80-90 km easily,and it is aiso practical scooter,,but for some one who is looking for performance scooter aerox is for you,,but if you don't care scooter or bike you can look for tvs apache 4v one at the same price which gives you much better performance and milleage than aerox.. sharing you some of my experience because every one is talking and praising its looks, design, and performance,, and i want you to know some of the disadvantages before you go on it. I have bought an Aerox on 14 th April this year from Pearl Yamaha,Hyderabad and delivery was on the same day of the booking…I have already done 6000 kms on it and the only change I have done is got the Yamaha KYB Ultimate Nitro Shocks fitted immediately on delivery (Yamaha Genuine Accessories)..These shocks are great for long rides.. I want to replace the stock Japanese IRC tyres with MRF tyres as the IRC tyres are soft for Hyderabad roads and have already suffered a couple of punctures..MRF is yet to launch Tyres for Aerox..

Companies don't launches maxi scooters in india as Europe for huge petroleum prices after so many cess and taxes by governments..and over price of this types of bikes, by 28 percentages of GST ..

i understand Fuel injected bikes don't need kickstart, but you can start them with push and clutch. is the absence of a kick start a problem on a scooter without gears? what to do if button doesn't work...

Actually you can fit a full face LS2 if you do it upside down. The boot has a trough which helps.

What about the gound clearance issue in rough road which is i think only 145 mm

The thing is for scooters, the tank size will vary between 5 to 7 L. They need to keep it std with other ongoing scooters. It seems, its the mutual understanding between all the 2 wheeler brands.

This is a genuine review !!! Good scooter arrived in India, a bit too late!! I would go for it if it has a 7-8 liter tank, better pillion seat, provision to fit Top box, Harley type of pegs for rider, wind shield and company specific touring accessories to get the best touring potential of this scooter. Having liquid cooled engine and stopping for too many fuel stops on long journeys will deprive the pleasure of owning such a machine. Overall a good machine. I think this will be a great success in India, since it is a first of its kind in the old fashioned scooter market.

It's good YAMAHA didn't give this scooter top speed instead it's much better to enjoy the ride with good torque available. In scooter having TOP SPEED and SUDDEN BREAKING DOESN'T work like in BIKES where we PULL the CLUTCH and ENGINE POWER will completely CUT-OFF, then it's all BREAKS which are going to STOP the Bike. In scooter SUDDEN BREAK doesn't CUT-OFF the ENGINE POWER to rear WHEELS.

The reason I am not buying Aerox 155 is because of its rear back seat which is not convenient.

This fellow saying he is glad that Yamaha kept price lower. 1.7 lacs for a scooter isko kaam lag raha hai 😏😏😏😏...is price mein gear bike aa jayega. Disadvantage is, footrest. It's totally not reliable. Legs bend karke kaab taak chaal payega.
