Sick blaster man. My dad taught me to pour the oil into the gas can first then fill it that way it mixes around better to prevent burning the piston up. Keep going to trails! Love the video.
I have a blaster and a banshee and the blaster is 10x more fun. By the way, they love to stay in the powerband so keep her revved out. Also throw a wrench and extra plugs on the quad, if you're gonna run it on trails. You'll foul plugs putting around.
I use to have a Blaster and Banshee. Blaster is fun to tear around on. Flat out hauling ass then the Banshee was it. Blaster is fun. Especially if you have a sleeper. I did add 2-1/2" extension on it. That made a huge difference. Think I need another Blaster.
I had a white/ blue blaster, same year as yours. And later on i got a blue 04 or 05 with the nerf bars and allegedly had a bunch of upgrades. Wish I never got rid of it. I went down a rabbit hole of my moms Facebook looking for pictures of it. Ended up finding a video of the white one on my old channel
This describes ever blaster owner ever “holy fuck this thing rips” “I have a blaster and every time I’m riding it I’m like holy fuck this things going crazy
Brother, I'm glad you took your time to learn your new quad. You were respectful to both the people who were in the hotel and houses and you were respectful to the beauty of the trail. I'd say the Blaster was definitely a good buy. It starts on the first kick, but you were able to kick it while still seated. I'm impressed. You should come check out the trails in Southeast Missouri. It's pretty beautiful around here and there are plenty of trails. Take care.
Agree on everything you said, good times. I'm still rocking My 1988 Polaris Trail Boss, it's a 2 smoker 250cc, but it's a 2wd and only rated at 28hp (decent for an old 250 though) thing runs and rides mint, part of what I like is it has basically a snowmobile torque converter type transmission with only forward-neutral-reverse and a single brake handle connected to a 3 disc braking system which is weird-a disc connected to the chain off the back of the gearbox side drive sprocket. It's just fast enough for what I do with it, it even says "McPherson Equipped" on the front shocks 😆
I love a good blastee . I always mixed mine 32/1 and it sounds little boggy bottom end (ide jet) but it looks like top end (main) jetting is fine. Makes me want another blaster
get an old school six pack rack for it and carry that small fuel tank with you thats what people in the dunes where im from do with blasters they have a pretty small tank those trails look like alot of fun on pit bikes
Kinda stuff we do up here in Maine every day.. lol hey btw just across the intersection from Dysarts down the road a bit is Speedway 95. I usually go there once a week for racing.
he still has the yz , we are working on getting him up to maine for summer of 2023 ! he has a full time job so its not easy for him to make the haul up here
7:17 🫣I don’t wanna be that guy but as a previous blaster owner I feel it’s my civic duty to let you know it sounds like it’s bogging pretty hard when you give it gas. Side note after owning my blaster for a long time and rebuilding the top end among a lot of other mods to it I will never own another blaster again. Lol
I've really been enjoying the snowmobile/atv style content! Thoughts on bitcoin price action recently? I keep hearing people talking about it going to 100k and a few talking a mil in a couple years
thank you ! i appreciate you watching and commenting ! I don't know yet about bitcoin , I'd like to see some more support and another leg up to form support over 30k. I dont like how fast it rose. But its crypto , anything can happen , Im a true Hodl'er , so i dont focus on day to day price
@@Life_OD no problem! I've been watching for the past 6 or so years now, I'm really glad you've continued the content after saying a while back the vlogs may end. But I fully agree I'm in super long term, and really glad I bought up what I have before it went back above 20k
I've got a yz125x, plated and insured. Not far of a drive from ottawa. Wouldn't be the longest drive I've done in the name of biking. Gotta get someone to carry fuel for my thirsty girl tho 😂
back in the 1980s and before , gas cans didnt have a pour spout and you would need a funnel .. in the 1990s they started these trick safty pour spouts , then it became some kind of law , for about the past five years , i stopped using that silly pour spout and just go back old school and use the funnel , its way quicker
I know you were being quiet but maybe stock up on spark plugs because you will probably foul alot of them bogging and keeping it quiet. No hate meant by that at all
No throttle when using choke on 2 strokes just let it do its thing for a minuet then shut it off and keep it running with the throttle. 2 strokes do not like the throttle while the choke is on, 4 strokes are a different story.
Need to keep an extra plug with you while your riding. Riding that slow all the time will foul the plug on you. Good for those 2 strokes to get up on the power band and let it eat
@@Life_OD I see people doing it all the time. There’s a very mixed opinion on it because of the chance of static discharge. But it’s the same thing when you’re filling up your vehicle. You’re suppose to touch a metal surface before touching the pump. I guess better safe then blowin the whole pump up. But I think it’s extremely rare
i thought it was slipping in the higher gears while trying to "go fast" on the street. Feels fine off road and in the lower gears tho , we'll see how long it lasts , might have to look into clutch adjustment or replacement :(
Think is gonna go threw so many plugs the way he's riding it if it don't blow up from being so overloaded all the time it's a 2 stroke u cant put it around like that a 2 stroke is ment to be ripped not babied
will have to keep this in consideration as it starts to warm up. I am a 2 stroke noob so this is all new to me , thankfully i have knowledgeable people like you in the comments to keep me from blowing this thing up
@@Life_OD just gotta remember there's no radiator/fans on that bad girl... Speed is a 2 strokes friend for keeping cool. I wouldn't even let it idle more than a min once it's at operating temp. Some guys even set the idle screw to where the engine will stall if you're not on it manipulating the throttle in the event they crash and can't get to the kill switch quickly...
dang it lol , i had a feeling it was going to be bad quality , will definitely be switching to ams oil dominator moving forward. I usually run dominator or interceptor in my sled
@VDubVroomer it's well know in the 2 stroke groups lucas causes spooge out the pipe and is not very popular choice. Tons of videos about how dirty lucas burns on RU-vid. Back in the day they use to run straight 30 weight oil in 2 strokes. Just because you can doesn't mean you should
i had a feeling it was low quality , it was cheap and easy to get , will have to switch back to the amsoil stuff i was using on the sled . i think it was called amsoil dominator
I always ran Klotz oil and had good luck with it. Can't beat the way it smells. Like someone else said make sure to bring a spare sparkplug, lugging around will foul them out periodically.
