Hi Matt Yes. The rear XLRs on the back of the QL5 are available to the Dante network. They can be patched out of the console as a split. Obviously QL5 would control Gain. I would need to check but I am pretty sure the QL implemented the Yamaha Gain Compensation, same as the RIO's. Drop me an email if you would like to discuss further. Thats is possible. The dante side would be blind to the gain structure of the Midas pre. You would have to set that on a midas console. What are you thinking of doing here?
I had the same question, we are a Yamaha house however we have acts that will bring in a MCore rig for monitors and want to have gain control. We have a split but sometimes it’s a pain and also takes up space on stage.
