Hey there, I have the same unit and would like to refinish the cabinet with danish oil as well. What grit sand paper did you use and how many coats? I’m not a woodworker by any means and the veneer is thin, so appreciate your guidance. Thanks!
You can start with 320 grit and see how things go. If it’s not taking enough off go lower to speed things up. Once you have it down to bare veneer you can move up to 1000 grit before finishing. There are some good articles out there on finishing with Danish oil. I like to do at least 3 coats to make the finish look even and start building a sheen.
