I bought the new DZR but prefered my old DSRs they are still the better speakers in my opinion...I dont think they are an upgrade they have too much DSP nonsense on they are not louder and they are not as roadworthy - I want to go back to DSRs which are the best speakers in this kind of range ever made I feel the QSC K12 and 12.2 have the same issue ....Newer is not always better
they should have kept the DSR Front for the DZR Series. the new fabric front of the DZRs are a desaster. love the whole DSR Series but the Subwoofers are clearly underpowered compared to the tops. one DSR 12 or 15 top can handle easyli 2 pcs. 118 Subs. Thinking to sell my 118 Subs and replace them with the new XLF ones. the DSR 112 is one of my alltime greatest speakers for the price.
@@nickwekking8827 Please rather consider 2 x DXR12 (or even DXR10) + DXS12 (or DXS15) subwoofer. I have all of these speakers, so I know that by experience. Please note that one DXR12 subwoofer produce more bass than 4 x DXR12. It is a result of a different cabinet design, which is optimized for a different frequency range. If you are runing DXR12 with filter on (i.e. 100 Hz) the overall sound preassure will be nearly the same as DXR10. DXR10 is smaller and lighter. So finally great sounding system would be: 2xDXR10 + DXS12 (DXS15).

Is there any problem if i connect the “Behringer XR18 Digital Mixer” with 3 speakers of the same series? And what if I connect the “Behringer XR18 Digital Mixer” with 4 speakers (2 Right) and (2 Left) of different series for example: (2 right DBR and 2 left DXR)? Is there a problem if I connect 400 watt mixer with more than one Yamaha Powered Loadspeaker?
They're pretty different. The S115V is a series 5 Club 15" 2 way passive speaker. 1000watt power handling, 8 ohm trapezoidal cabinet, 15" LF and 2" compression driver, closer to the DSR series. The DBR15 is a powered speaker in a plastic box. It has a smaller tweeter, a modern version of the old BR series. If you have a powered mixer or PA amplifiers, the S115V are very good and can handle some serious power. The 2" compression driver really helps vocal cut through a busy mix. I have 4 of these and use them from solo acoustic acts to 6 piece bands with 2 guitars, drums, bass, vocals, and keyboards. A true workhorse with impressive sound quality. Not fancy to look at, no onboard magic, but it just works well, every single time. If you have a passive mixer, the DBRs will get you going with very little ancillary equipment needed. They set up fast and are factory tuned to be easy to use. They are a plastic box (wood boxes usually sound warmer, but plastic boxes are usually more portable and often handle bad weather better), and the smaller compression driver will need to cross over higher, meaning vocals can get buried a little easier in a busy mix, but for smaller acts most people wouldn't notice. If you have a drum kit or bass, you'll need subs with either. They go low, but they start to fall off in kick and low E string territory. Get the right tool for you and don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for going with Yamaha, they literally wrote the book on live sound!
Please, can someone tell me the sound comparison between a pair of Yamaha DBR10 and a pair of Yamaha Stagepas 600? I am not looking to wattage comparison, both are 129SPL each and 10 inch speakers. I am worried about the sound quality for music enjoyment. I just got a Yamaha Stagepas 600 and I am thinking about upgrading it to a pair of Yamaha DBR10, but is it an upgrade or they just sound like a Yamaha Stagepas? Cheers! Adittional information: DBR10 has a 2.1kHz crossover and Stagepas has a 2.8kHz crossover. Is a 2.8kHz worse? And DBR 10 tweeter is 1 inch and Stagepas is 1.4 inch.
The subwoofer is JBL PRX 818XLF. I was pretending to get a pair of JBL PRX812 speakers to match with my subwoofer, but I have got these Yamaha Stagepas in exchange of equipments.
I have heard that 12 or 15 inch speakers produce muffled voice, but not the 10 inch. So I was not inclined to get JBL PRX812 (12 inch) speakers for this reason. I have heard about Yamaha DZR315 three-way speaker including a 15 inch subwoofer, a 8 inch for mids and a tweeter. This is definitely what I seek, but two problems: too expensive and heavy :(. I need to know if I am great with my Yamaha Stagepas please! (full sound range)
