Yup. Super-articulation is good.

Yamaha has been nailing acoustic and electric guitar sounds ever since they released the Motif ES way back in 2003. No other manufacturer comes remotely close with the possible exception of Roland.... But even then Roland doesn't win!

Another company's is a complete joke. Just like the Steinway setting on my acoustic banjo.

There's no doubt!!! This comparison put in evidence in a higher step Dgx670, of better quality in all sides!!!!!

Funny so many people say how advanced the Yamaha DGX 670 is but are people not realising it's still not as advanced as the high end Yamaha CVP line clavinovas from 2004. I've been waiting all these years for a product like the 670 to come out to finally mean I have a fully weighted 88 keys with some of the really old clavinova features. If you wanted something like this is the past the best you could do is get a PSR SX900 and midi control it with a weighted 88 stage piano... which is massive effort. I can't believe how slow all the manufacturers are to have made something like this.

@@JeremySee I finally received my DGX-670 and I didn't need to break into Jeremy's house to "borrow" one. 😂 Oh, and the 670 is damn worth it, glad the guys at Kraft made no fuzz about returning the 660 I got first from them, the 6-month wait was really worth it in the end.

The bad thing about the dgx670 is that it does not have a stereo output (L and R) for external speakers, only a mono output for headphones and even worse, its integrated speakers are mediocre. I'd better go with the Roland fp60X piano despite having fewer options.

I bought my DGX-670 in Québec also, 2 weeks ago, but I still watch your videos!. What sold me is that in one video (DGX-670 vs FP-30X I think) you say something like 'Yamaha is years ahead, it will take many years for the competition to catch up if they ever do'. You were talking about voices. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately the dgx670 has mediocre speakers, but the worst thing is that it does not have a stereo output (L/R) for external speakers. This makes you doubt whether to buy or not buy.

Hello Kenaz, please give a 2nd thought for Korg XE20. The keybed is not with satisfactory quality. I have XE20 for 5 months now but some of the keys already started making noise. I am not happy with the Keybed. If you are going to spend most of the time with piano playing you may consider Korg D1. It has very high quality keybed which Korg uses for their high end keyboard like Kronos. But keep in mind D1 doesn't have built in speakers.

@@JeremySee If you remember our last debate under video where you presented Korg Wavestate and I said that Woody didn’t want to compare me sounds between Yamaha MODX and Yamaha PSR SX900. You said me probably because Yamaha is one of his sponsors and he didn’t want to offend Yamaha. Now I think it’s not the case (Yamaha is one of his sponsors but it’s not the reason) because after I saw that recently he compared sounds between new Korg Nautilus and Yamaha MODX not in one but in several different videos. Anyway as I said before, his presentations and comparisons are not informative as yours. For example here you talked about every aspect of both keyboards and as in all your presentations it’s easy to make decision which keyboard is better for you. BTW I’m considering buying Roland Jupiter XM, what do you think about it? I like it because it’s small, because I live in apartment not the house so it takes less space than Roland Jupiter X, just I’m a little worried about small keys. And what do you think about hardware vs software synths in music production? And if I may ask you why you don’t do more often videos about synths? I mean I like arranger keyboards and your channel is one of rare that is about arranger keyboards, just maybe sometimes you can make some exception like you did with Korg Waveste. But on the other hand, you know what is the best content for your channel. Anyway continue with good work! :))

Hi Mike, as you know I have the DGX-670, but I have also played the Korg XE20. Its piano sounds are mediocre, I think you would be highly disappointed with that since you are used to the quality piano sounds of your P255. The styles are fine, but they are outdated. In fact, they are the styles of the old Korg PA60, which I bought back in 2000 and owned for many years. Yamaha styles are more refined. The Korg speaker system is really tiny, consisting of small oval speakers. The 18 watts per channel is just a number, don't expect anything amazing from it. The DGX-670 has a better speaker system, fuller and louder. I know the specs may seem to indicate otherwise, but I am familiar with both instruments in person. The proper line outs are not a relevant issue, as you can use a 1/4" stereo to two 1/8" mono cable, something I have done many times with the DGX-670 and DGX-660 (I owned the 660 before too). The one thing this Korg has over Yamaha is portability. I don't remember the XE20 action enough to give you feedback on it, but it didn't feel remarkable when I played it. The Yamaha is superior in many other aspects. The XE20 fails to provide the most basic feature it should have: good piano tone. Korg has mediocre piano sounds. You probably remember the M50, Triton, etc, workstations: they all had mediocre piano sounds compared to Yamaha. They haven't made a whole lot of progress in their digital pianos, I played the LP180 and B2 as well and they are weak. One thing the Korg digital pianos have is a quiet action, similar to the Roland FP90X in the sense they make little noise. But that comes at the price of feeling sluggish... so, I doubt you would find those actions any better than the GH in the Yamaha's.

You're right. Wait till you listen to Yamaha's PSS-A50 headphones out... Noise floor is so high it's unusable.

@@JeremySee Ha! I bought the PSS-A50 last year after watching your reviews. On paper it’s super cool, but that ridiculous noise was a deal breaker. I actually returned it and got a second. Not only were their headphone jacks noisy, the onboard speaker hissed even with volume completely down to where you couldn’t hear anything from the keyboard besides noise. I ended up returning them both...disgusted.

Pisses me more knowing that it probably cost them 10 cents to add a second 1/4" port for stereo outputs, but they decided not to. I bet you can add one yourself if you have some DIY skills, just some light drilling and soldering.

The manual on page 97 or 98 depending on the language, shows that the output is 1/4 Stereo, if you want to add more technology, there is a bluetoot adapter that can be added and thus connect some good headphones without cables that bother you, at the same time. Raising the level of technology by purchasing accessories will raise the value of the instrument and its ease of use.

A non issue. Mannys Music Brisbane supplied me a 3 metre stereo audio connection cable for $30 that has the mini stereo jack to plug into the headphone socket at the back of the DGX-670 keyboard and two 1/4” jacks to plug into each of my PreSonus stereo powered monitors and this works perfectly well and sounds fabulous, as on the keyboard menu options one can also select to also have the audio sounding from the internal speakers as well! >> 4 speakers audio sounds fabulous! Also, the fact that the DGX-670 has a mic input along with fab’ Yamaha vocal FX is a huge bonus plus feature! The DGX-670 Arranger home recorder keyboard is wonderful, and very enjoyable - especially with the two types of auto accompaniments: full accompaniment instruments, or, minimal accompaniment of only the bass guitar and drums & percussion instruments with each & every style! Fabulous value and fab’ features, it’s the best home digital piano 🎹 I have ever owned & played.

One trick I use for computers may work for you: Unplug the keyboard, remove anything that is plugged in it (including batteries if any), and push the power button and leave it pushed in for at least 60 seconds. Plug it back in and try it. Please let me know if it works. I have fixed many HP and Lenovo laptops this way, and I am convinced it may work for other electronic equipment as well.
