Thank you very for the incredible response on this set ❤ I’m happy to announce that also the Modern Keyboard Soundset - Volume 2 is out now! Here’s the demo video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8XPZD4C0XQE.html Enjoy!
Some really nice patches, well done. The DX7 has to be one of the most versatile synths of all time, it just keeps on surprising what it is capable of!
Preso usato da una settimana devo ancora immergermi nella programmazione , ho avuto problemi con un cavo midi economico , ora ho provveduto a prendere un’irig2 midi
I got the no.2 set as I like to tinker around with 80´s sounds and trying reverse engineering via softsynths ( Dx7V/ Ops7/ Dexed for sysex files ) Next payday I will definately get my hands on this and it will probably be a blast loading them into a hardware machine sometime in the future, Great Job!
Awesome demo! 😎🤘🏻 🎹 I’m a huge Yamaha fan and this synth sounds killer. The Nintendo synth sounded awesome. I guess now I know that sega megadrive/genesis synths aren’t the only synths you can get from this synthesizer. Other than that, great synth.
Why do people even attempt to do analog sounds on an FM synth? They sound NOTHING like analog strings, bass, pads, fx, etc. The DX-7 is capable of so much sonic goodness...what is the point o trying to make it do something it not only was not designed to do, but can't do well, at all.
Short answer: given how much overused and ubiquitous can be analog sounds nowadays, the process of exploring that ballpark using a different synthesis method can lead to some interesting results, surely not always authentic, but in many cases sounding like a different take on the classics. Then it’s a matter of taste, and luckily tastes are personal :) The purpose of my set is to share a collection of FM-generated sounds i programmed and i would use in modern contexts, not to demonstrate that FM is better in making analog sounds than analog synths :D
