You can’t go wrong with Yamaha guitars, even the cheapest ones are well built and sound great. I’ve a couple of high end guitars now, but I still have my first guitar, an LL6 and I still love the way it sounds. Yamaha just make great guitars at every price point.
Awesome video man. Cheers. These guitars put out allot of sound if they aren’t held too tightly as an adult I’ve found. I picked up a jr2 for $100. These little guitars come to life once they’re set up to factory specs. I also picked up an apxt2 Yamaha. They are pretty nice too. Setup is important out of the box tho. Guitars almost always need it anyway. Keep being awesome ✌️
Very helpful, thank you. P.S. I have a Yamaha piano, too, which I love, so I'm thinking of sticking with the brand for a guitar that will be better than the cheap full size guitar I've started learning on and hate because it's so darn bulky.
Thanks for showing both the JR1 JR2! I do like the JR2 bag better since t's more durable. Love that sunburst color too! The warmer sound matches it well.
Thinking of purchasing this one for my 6 year old who just started lessons. Started with a budget 7/8 Rogue star but its body was to big. I was wondering if these can take nylon strings? Her teacher said it might be better because the metal ones might hurt to start. Sorry if its a dumb questions, I know nothing about musical instruments :) Thank you for your time.
No ,it does not handle nylon strings well. You can use silk and steel strings on it .They are easier on your finger's .You can also tune down a half step making the strings easier to press down.
While researching "What is Yamahas best guitar the rater said "this 3/4 YTammy guitar was best" Not sure I agree. I've played guitar 70 years and ny bid for best guitar is the 1968 Martin D235. Obviously the F1 Jr isn't in the same league with a D35 for a myriad of reasons I Paul Capps in someway related to recently deceased Jimmy Capps? Capps has won many awards for his playing skills. Just wondered.
It is all a matter of opinion and what you are looking for in a guitar a $500,00 dollar guitar against a $500.00 guitar Yamaha wins .High dollar 10 thousand and over, I Still favor Yamaha. In the under $250.00 range , Yamaha or Tagima would be my pick. The 40 thru the 70 Martin , Gibson Fender where the Three powerhouses in guitar manufacturing. I bought my first Yamaha guitar in 1972 .First Yamaha Motorcycle in 1969 .Not related to Jimmy as far as we new ,but he was a friend. We talked about that some 20 years ago. In Texas talking about best guitar is like Best Truck,Ford,Dodge or Chevy. Take Care.
The point of the video is to compare small guitars for beginners. I am 67 and want to learn guitar. I have watched countless videos on here just to find one that will give me the basic information of which size is best for small people like me to start on and encourage me to play and not give up by buying something that is too big and bulky.
