That made me miss my 1977 Yamaha Fs1.😎 Mostly homemade tuning with some parts from tuning kits. Exhaust, carb, and piston. All more or less tweaked a 1000 times. Used it to drive to work daily for a year or so when it ran like I would like it. Fast acceleration but only 90-100 kph but with lots of torqeue in lower revs. Not what a full tuning kit were always delivering. Most important it was fun as hell.
You had to change parts to do that? I driven Suzuki AC50 with ONLY clipped rotary valve to reach 95 to 110kmh top speed, but never heard of an FS1 that could gain significant performance only by modding the rotary valve. AND, this FS1 seems to have more torque on low RPM than a similarly fast AC50 so my guess is this has a bigger cylinder/piston?

Riktigt bra fart på den!! Jag har en fs1 dx -82 som det är en lite för mycket portad avgasport, 43mm kina cylinder. Har även en ny orörd Athena som inte går lika fort. ca 88km/h med kina och lite över 80km/h med Athenan. Jag vågar inte sätta slipen i den orörda Athenan så jag tror Agge eller någon annan får ta en titt på den och någon som kan svarva ur för en tredje lamell. Man kan väl hoppas på runt 100 blås efter detta. När man är 40 plus så måste man få ha lite roligt ;)
Min drar ca 2 deciliter milen original, med Athena 43mm och alla tillbehör ca 0,4 milen, Jag skulle gissa på kanske 0,6 milen på denna brutala maskin ;)
This one has too much low rpm torque to be 50cc. But a modded/tuned 80, i think not, then it should be faster. From my experience the Yamahas of the 1970ies would perform great with 60cc kits. Original 80cc models werent that powerful since they were made to last, not to perform, they were made for Philippines, China, Vietnam, not Europe.
