Thanks for the video. I had been looking at this seat before I watched this. I really don’t like the slope on the factory seat. You also cleared up my concern with it fitting on the 2014 model
@@FocusedGarage The Corbin seat for the MT09 SP is quoted as well over £700 in the UK which is more than twice the price of the same seat delivered to New York from California
Great review. Just got mine after months of research and price search. Partzilla had it for under 200 shipped so thanks for your recommendation. Can’t wait to try it
Thanks, just came across this model bike from watching Bad Boys for Life movie. Lol great information and will consider purchasing a naked bike like this in the future. Ride safe.
Great video, but you forgot to mention one thing or maybe I missed it. How does this comfort seat change your ability to move around the bike when cornering? Do you find it easier or more restricted? The stock seat seems fine to me on the track, but on longer trips with twisty mountains, I'm looking for comfort without restrictions in shifting my butt around. Thanks.
This is actually slightly more grippy than the stock seat. So if someone likes to move around in the saddle alot, this might not be the choice for you.
I bought this for mine a couple weeks ago and im still getting some discomfort in my butt, I know you said that it takes some breaking in, ive had it about 500 miles, do you have any discomfort at all?
I ride towards the back of the oem seat and I feel like I'm sitting on a hill, do you still get that sensation when sitting all the way back of your section?
Good morning I have a question after a day of driving I notice that the inner side of my thighs are starting to hurt because I have to clamp more with my legs to get closer to my tank will this get better?
my backside was killing me after a 50 mile ride out like wtf i did have the comfy seat spare but when i put it on it was like wtf i can barely touch the floor anyway comfy seat back on and im getting used to it youre video has explained it in a nutshell .
Its almost twice as heavy as stock seat. Im "5,9" and I bought the comfort seat for $220 it does sit an inch higher and take time to break in..overall its a good buy if you're a taller rider doing a lot of touring with a passenger. I have no complaints. Otherwise if your shorter than "5 9" and just commuting id stick to your stock seat.
i have a yamaha comfort seat on my MT 09, good improvement, 166 pounds tho, but the shad seats etc were 250-300 pounds! dident think they was worth it.
So sad, I have both the FZ-09 and the FZ-10 both bought on 2017 and because of work (military) I have only put 1000 miles on each... and I can't ride now because of course I'm deployed again... oh well 2 more years and I will be retiring...Let some new guy continue serving the country.
6'5" so, no problems flat footing any bike even the tallest adventure bikes. It's glorious. Disadvantages I have to start on a big bike because the smaller bikes are, well Small.
Apart from the stock seat, this is the worst seat available for this bike, it's hard as nails and doesn't soften up, it's also taller and much wider than other seats, save your money and have the stock seat re-shaped with memory foam.
