I'm an intermediate player, taking lessons again after a few decades... I chose the P145 and (after 6 months) am VERY happy with my choice. It has everything I need (purchased with stand and pedals), and it certainly sounds better than a lot of acoustic uprights (without needing tuning). It sounds fantastic in my home - I don't live in a concert hall - while giving me the chance to see how my playing and dedication develops before I splash out really big money on another model.
I have a P45 and it has just died on me after 5 years It has been well played during that time on a average 4-5 hours per day The question I have is should it have lasted much longer than 5 years I was told when I bought it that I should expect at least 15 - 20 years use
I was supposed to buy this piano before seeing your comment. The lifespan seems quite short and not ideal in your case. Thanks for telling by the way. I might consider another one.
Is it possible to overwrite the default sound settings on the P145 without using the Smart Pianist so that it loads the configuration every time I turn the piano on?
Se considera para principiantes porque no es muy muy trabajado en base a sonido y a construcción, sin embargo no es que sea malo. Solo es limitado y con lo justo y necesario para que una persona aprenda
So i was wondering can you use the sustain peddle for the p-45 on the p-145 or they different connections please? (My p-45 broke down but still have the peddle!)
It use to have a neck that have to attach to the 🔩 but if you have the capability to make some adjustments then well and fine... But for three unit padel... A traditional wooden piano stand is highly recommended

I was wondering the same. Between my 7-14 years old I used to play a fantastic Steinway of the early '900 belonging to my mom, which I still play a bit when I visit her. Now at 38 I've started again with a very basic keyboard gifted by my neighbor, basically only by ears, but the touch is still there. I'm asking myself why I never thought to get something like this since I love playing, as I could stay hours and hours on it. Can I ask you at the end if you got this or something else? I'm looking for something "cheap" but that does't sound cheap, with pedals and weighted keys, good for an intermediate like me.
Such a shame that Yamaha replaced P-45 by P-145. P-45 had nice matte sound. The sound of the new model is disgusting and only emphasizes its electricity origin.
you are right. I own a P115 and a P125 and that's EXACTLY the same with those models. P115 sounds better and plays way better. They claim key action is the same .. its not.
YES! I've been trying to run away from pianos that sound like that but I'm having a hard time finding one that has a 'matte' sound as you described, and not electronic sounding. Do you have any suggestions, please? I'm a pro already, and I had a px310 Casio for years, and I loved it.
Io ho il P515,tastiera in legno ecc...Purtroppo hanno già detto che quando verrà sostituito non avrà più quella tastiera,andrà fuori produzione,peccato...A questo punto penso che il mio P515,me lo terro per altri vent'anni😊
@@ayrtoninchejanampa6874 L'ha detto un insegnante di pianoforte,che ha anche un negozio di pianoforti digitali.Temo che sarà così,poi ovviamente i tasti in legno li trovi anche sui Clavinova di alta gamma,ma non credo siano uguali a quelli che monta il P515.Intendiamoci,saranno di sicuro anche superiori,ma proprio per quello,forse lo toglieranno dal prossimo top di gamma della serie "P".
