The rear is in the longest hole. The front straps are lengthened beyond the original limit. Look at the suspension in the video, and you may find other modifications.
Was just putting my '87 Phazer, stock, with Comet 102C clutch, 6K miles on Craig's list, Runs great with newer Pistons/ Rings, Boysen Reeds. Re-thinking after seeing this!
i have a 91 phazer and it boondocks like mad, only problem is you gotta clean out the fan when it packs with snow. edit: she blew. time for a top end this fall!
Put a Polaris or skidoo rear end under it. Have your driver's switched to 8 tooth instead of 9. Port and pipe it. Put a 147" x2" track under it. Completely new machine.
As a PZ guy for years, I’ve never really gone far from stock- also a water crosser, never made any distance on a phazer- use skidoos for that- watched this and mind blown- absolutely insane, WTF!!! And how did you do it??
I'm guessing it doesn't have stock gearing? Front end was awfully light and it had lots of low end 'spin' when carving in the deep snow. Either way, looks like a fun sled to ride.
MIne is on its second overbore too, lol not sure if it has room for another, did the math but I forget now I think it is about 500 cc now.@@laatschmovies
2 years of adjustments and modifications. Basically, everything needs to be working like a top, also you'll need to get super torque with low gearing, and do suspension mods.
Huuh guess im lost then cause i swear last phazer i seen had a single carb. But the again that wss like 10 years ago and im now 22 lol. I got a vmax 500 and it rips but nothing like this. People consider them to be "straight line" sleds. It needs a ton of work though. Bpught it ib grade 8 and have done nothing but put gas in it, changed the bogie wheels in the carraige. There shot again. Needs a good overhaul thats for sure.
@@bridesigns207 switch out your rear suspension with a Polaris or skidoo. Weight transfer actually works right. Put a 147" x2" track on it. Pipe it. Watch that sled keep up with sleds 20 years newer
