It has been 1 year using this local adapter now and absolutely no issues so far. No need to spend enormously on the original Yamaha adapter which usually costs around 5k.
Very good information, my keyboard Yamaha PSR I455 model, whose original adapter with 12volt 1.5Amps not working, out side local market checked with 12volt 2 Amps is there, kindly guide me, whether i can use this adpter for my keyboard
I wanted to know if we use fewer volt adapter/ or high volt for the keyboard, then what will happen? suppose my previous adapter was 9 volt and instead of that if I use 12 volt
The voltage should always be same....the ampere can be little bit different....will not affect much. But instead of 9V if you use 12V then then your instrument will get damaged for sure.
I assume your keyboard is lighting up but not getting sound....right? Rare are the chances of shooting up the voltage by your adapter....the adapter might itself blow up in case there is a voltage fluctuation. There might be some other issue with your keyboard....either the connection to the speaker might have broken from inside due to loose soldering or there might be some wiring issue as well.
@@jangamvijayendrakumar6203 Either there is some contact problem in your display from your motherboard or you are not using appropriate adapter with proper volt/ampere which is prescribed as mentioned on your instrument.
You can take your original adapter and check with a local electronics repair shop. If it is minor issue they might repair it, else get another one with same specifications. Make sure the voltage is same 12V, ampere might be 0.5 A more or less doesn't matter.
