Yoshimura decibel test: is it loud enough for you? I personally like it best with the dB reducer out but what do you think?

no joke, just got a Yoshimura installed on my r7 about 3 days ago. I have the db killer in, and honestly it’s a little bit louder than I wanted but oh well. to me it’s just hard to imagine it being even louder without it! Thanks for the helpful video :)

nice, congrats on the exhaust. I got used to the sound and its not as loud as when I first put it on or maybe im going deff lol

@@ScoutsOut thanks! And maybe I just have sensitive hearing lol, but regardless I definitely love the yoshi so far. I just hope it doesn’t attract too much attention from cops especially here in California :/

I’ve commented a few times about getting the R7 tuned. I ended up getting a power commander 6 and had a shop set a custom air:fuel map since I had full exhaust+intake and the bike runs extremely smooth. Recommend going that route if the ecu flash is not an option for you

yea sorry I just haven't gotten around to it its a lot harder than I though it would be and not having a real way to check the changes without going to a dyno every time makes it even harder. im prolly going to take it to the race shop and let them tune it with my FTECU. I still can't find any tunes to even look at to help me understand, not even PC 6 has maps that you can download to look at for the R7. Frustrating with new bikes.

Oh shoot! An actual shout out in a video! Thank you so much for going to all that effort! I have a feeling no trackday is going to give much trouble with the DB killer installed even if it does go a bit over the 95 limit at times. Great video! Look forward to the next! What tires are you thinking?

Haha, thanks for the video idea. yea I think with it in the track day should allow it, I have an awesome track I still have not gotten to ride in my area that I will have to install it for sure. Im hoping to get the Perelli Rosso 3s or the supercorsa's that are on my aprilia as they are still looking good at 4500 and my stock tires were destroyed by then.

Nice test.... I have a brand new Yoshi RACE R-77 STAINLESS FULL System that I bought while waiting on my bike sitting in a box. Since my bike never came I ended up buying a slightly used bike that came with an Akropovic S-Y7R12-APT Racing Line system already installed. I Am looking for a 2021 XSR in the Blk/Wht/Red to match my 60th Anniversary R7 and will probably put the Yoshi on that bike if I find one.🤘😎🏍🎸

Oh shiiit! just for reference on the 10Db louder... I just googled this... "How much louder is 10dB? 10 times louder Decibels increase exponentially For example, every increase of 10 dB on the decibel scale is equal to a 10-fold increase in sound pressure level (SPL). Near silence is expressed as 0 dB but a sound measured at 10 dB is actually 10 times louder" Great vid as usual Scout! As always mate... :D

Sort of correct. Perceived loudness is 2x more. This is because db is on the log scale.
