I rode my friends sidewinder around like this, it was a lot of fun. Do pretty much any technical stuff a turbo Polaris can do. The sidehilling is a lot more tiring tho with the extra weight, tends to want to roll down the hill easier when you apply the brake. Cool video.
This guy is absolutely killing it and makes the 2 stroke guys heads explode and they still talk shit... love the sled wish I had more skill but I am learning (have the same sled)
This not what I consider tech riding. Pretty flat. I'd say this about any sled. That terrain is not something any mountain sled made in the last 10 years would struggle with.
Exactly what I was thinking, I have a Nytro mcxpress 270 and I know you can't hold the throttle to the bars for so long... My thoughts is that those who's whining probably drives on flat ground whith a sled who have 60hp.. Great driving👍 Greetings from Sweden
M1100 is powered by a 1056cc Suzuki Twin (2018 feature the Yamaha 998cc triple. If your buddy has an M1100 and he hasn’t swapped the engine, he has Suzuki... although it was a great engine, it pales in comparison to the Yamaha. Look where the turbo is positioned, it’ll tell you which engine it is. Suzuki turbo is mounted in front of the exhaust manifold under the intercooler, Yamaha has its turbo on the stator side of the engine directly under the side panel. Also, a fast look at the left front (pto side) revealing a boost tube protruding from the side behind the shock tower tells you it’s a Suzuki, Yamaha throttle bodies are direct fed from the turbo thus there’s no boost tubes visible outside of the engine compartment.
Vertical steering posts are only an advantage when you are consistently climbing chutes, etc. Otherwise a little tilt will amplify the steering angle with less rider input. Makes for a more comfortable day in the trees with a little tilt.
1teddy1979 U just hear it in a different way when its 4stroke. You need to let go of the gas/throttle so little to hear that sound. You dont hear the same thing on a 2-stroke even when you use the throttle the same way
Yamaha has produced one of the most powerful engines to EVER be available in a stock package. The potential achievable from this power plant is staggering! The most I've seen thus far is 880hp and rock solid stable. That's absolutely insane! And the throttle response is nearly equal to the most skillfully tuned 2 cycle. A little weighty, but it's not noticeable to an experienced rider. These sleds aren't built for a 150lb guy, if you aren't 200lbs+ these boosted 4 strokes will brutalize you. Don't buy a sled that's beyond your capabilities. 120hp 600cc sled is more than enough for most people, 300hp will hurt you, and if you don't have the skills to control that kinda power, you won't have fun riding it.
I ride a 2 stroke and would never buy a 4 stroke sled but my buddy has a turbo viper and that thing is absolutely insane for power. Doesn't feel heavy when the skis never touch.
Darrren Betker hahaha you clearly dont know what you talking about😂 please link a vid that shows technical backcountry with even gas😊 gonna be fun to see!
I ain't no professional and this guy would defiantly outride me up a hill but it does seem like he's on and off that throttle more then usual. Maybe that's how you ride these four strokes? Awesome sled though. The power seems unreal.
