Beautiful and badass bike, I agree I was in the same exact boat, no comparison after a year. You knew more about the stryker then I did. But you did the best description I ve heard. The performance, sound and ride destroys the other bikes. I ll never get rid of this bike.
Hello it's July 30, 2023 and I JUST bought a 2011 Yamaha Stryker from my local dealership. It's the BEST bike I've ever owned of about 10 bikes. It sticks like glue to the road and rides like a cadillac.
I did the same thing I traded a 2005 Harley 883 low for a 2014 stryker, and could not be any happier, what a great bike, I love the way it sounds and the way it rides, every place I go people stop to look at it, and think it is some exotic bike, boy are they surprised when I tell them its a Yamaha, and just like you Im not going back to Harley any time soon, good luck with yours and be safe.
Just got back in from my 2 hour ride on my new ( to me) stryker. I f**king love this bike. I've had custom harleys with S&S motors and I've had British cruisers and a few in between but this bike takes the top
I have 2011 Blacked out Stryker, was looking at Harley's since I once had one. Also almost bought a Polaris but found out that they have Trans, problems. Then found the Stryker, and really enjoy it.
nice ride i just picked up 2014 v star tourer 1300 love'n it! by the way use a hair dryer on that sticker warms up the glue so you can peel it right off.
Just got my 2011 yamaha stryker xvs1300 my 1st bike was a 650 yamaha v star. I just paid for a cobra swept Speedster Chrome . And replacing the brake with led strip.
I rode Harleys since I was 17, had Sportsters, Superglides, and a Softtail Springer. They vibrate to shit, always leaking something, often times are squirrelly ... and then I rode a friend's Yamaha Stryker which I thought was a Harley the first time I saw it from a distance ... and Yeah ... I'm buying a leftover 2014 Stryker this year for 9 grand. Kiss My Ass Harley Davidson and all the middle aged Harley Boutique fake ass biker dudes that got their leathers and tattoos at age 40 during their second teenage crisis. The Yamaha will get you to California and back without a hiccup.
nyctreeman as you see in my videos I ride...and ill ride anything and have fun..every bike has it"s use...ide love another sportster chopper for around town and to wreanch daily but to travel and explore there is nothing like my stryker...not as comfortable as a Vulcan or a geezer glide but I wouldn't trade bad ass for comfort anyway
Well said. I always thought I wanted a Harely, but the the instant a friend showed me a picture of the Stryker the case was closed. One of the best looking bikes ever made, far superior engineering than Harely, and far less expensive. I believe that the only reason why Harely hasn't sunk yet is because of the fanaticism of their hardliners. But these are dying off and arrogance will get them in the end.
Pretty bad when the stryker costs less yet handles as good if not better and its a bike that suits most comfort requirements and it turns quite well at speed. Mine loves the hills and bends as much as it does the highways. Good choice bloke and the 240 looks the goods. Cheers from down under
I have same year bike and it is awesome. I have Vance and Hines on it curved. If your ever in southern New Jersey you’ll see me around. Harleys are way too expensive.
Well what can I say.... congrats..a bit late but congrats anyway. Ive been at Privateers Harley off and on for a while thinking about a Sportster Iron. I have had lots of bikes in my past..but never a H.D. So I recently found a 2014 Stryker for sale locally (9000 kms) and I am really considering buying it instead of the Iron. My last bike was a Yamaha Bolt.
nothing...240 goes right on...but i lowered mine a couple inches in the rear for looks...the bigger tire really throws the bike around...can get kinda scary...on uneven pavement or cracks and really got to watch uneven pavement in the turns......but it looks bad ass....i will throw the stock 200 on it and see what the diff is...you can even go 280 but you need to remove fender and shave inner rails a bit fender bolt onto
Dude you rock brother great discretion of this bike looks awesome man. I'm same about Harley's and the overpriced crap they put out year after year it's just a fad or something many many other bikes much much better then shaky Harley's lol love that Stryker looks amazing Oh Tim Hortons is full of Harley bikers that's cause they ride much further then their homes need to tighten something every time lol
Spenser C I would go with a vstar 650 or something a bit smaller...my bike is long and it"s hevey..you scrape feet in corners as well..not a beginner bike at all..it handles like a tank
i was deciding between this and a bolt R spec for a commuting bike, with the "handling like a tank' comment im thinking the Bolt would be better for running to the shops ?
only thing I dont like about mine is exhaust and i just do not want 2 pay 700 bucks for pipes so my boss(30 yr old wizard) said we will make some so i gonna take my bender and him and I are gonna make a set wish me luck
I own a 2015 stryker and it's the first bike I ever owned, and I have to say I've got her up to 125 and most Harleys couldn't even keep up, and most Harley riders like the style of the stryker, I even put it in contests with other bikes with better style and it still came out on top, and the dealership that I bought it at has a hard time keeping them on the floor.
