Yamaha TW200: The Swiss Army Knife of Motorcycles 

I have a couple other bikes, but if I want to smile, I take out the TW200. Tire pressure at 10psi is incredible.

As soon as I can get my feet back on the ground, I am getting a TW200 and a Ford Model T. I don't need speed. I just need to get to my destination Nice video of the TW200

I'd caution you if you're considering this bike. Unless you don't want to spend your time laughing, smiling, chuckling & giggling; if you really want something like a big BMW, don't get it. It'll turn you back into a kid before you're out of 2nd gear. An absolute GAS to ride!!

I've been looking for one for a few years in MI. Shortly after Jan 1 2024, the dealer actually said "Yes!". I almost spit the coffee out of my mouth and was like, shoot, I gotta move a little money around haha. Grew up on snowmobiles and quads but this is my first bike. Was built yesterday and picking it up this weekend ($5995 OTD with reg) thanks to videos like yours. Thank you!

Nice video, shows the TW200 to be a real billy goat! I have a 2017 & just picked up a 2023 to keep it company. Indestructible machines. Never had one issue with the 2017. The bikes you keep and never sell. Cheers, Ronny

This just confirms what I’ve suspected with these bikes. Want one even more now lol. Honda was crazy to axe the XR lineup. Glad Yamaha still offers this and the 225 as well as Suzuki still offering the DRZ200.

When I can't ride my TW... I watch videos about TW. haha While it does go at MSRP around 4800. Most folks these days are out the door around 5 to 6 k. They are pretty hard to get a hold of these days. Seems like I bought mine right when they went rare, dealer told me it wouldn't be there tomorrow if I didn't take it (of course! gotta create a sense of urgency). Then I checked a year later and they still didn't have any in stock, haven't seen one since. They don't even make it to the floor most the time.

The Tdub is the one and only bike that gave me a healthy dose of seller's remorse. I have a Honda Trail 125 as my small bike right now but I'm very seriously considering buying a TW 200 to replace it.

good video, I liked the riding under real world (just taking a ride for quick fun). I am looking for a TW.

The TW is a great first , last and everything in between bike . Being 5'7" with a 30 in inseam i figured out pretty quickly that the off road world left me behind when I moved up from 80cc to the 125cc world. Thats when I moved to the BW 200 then the BW 360 after that I just stopped riding bikes off road. With only 20% of males in the US 6ft or taller I never understood the 34+ in seat heights and 14 in suspension travels on non motorcross dirt bikes I mean seriously how many people use more then 6 to 8 in of travel 10% maybe? I do wish yamaha would make the TW version of the BW350 but the TW200 only survives because it uses it's original EPA import license from 1986. Updating it to todays EPA standards sadly would be cost prohibitive for both the manufacturer and the consumer. At least the TW still exists .

Great Lil bike....I have a XT225 which is a good lil trail bike as well....And my go to bike is a Honda xr400r the tractor monster....

Good point about the Honda XR, the CRF250F is pretty close in spirt to the XR200

Just ordered a 2024. Came off a klr 650 a few years back. Im getting older and slower these days. My kid has a modified honda 250 that will leave you sitting on the trail if your not hanging on lol. Too mich for me at 65 . I agree with you , a 31 inch seat height 400 woud be perfect.

My biggest problem with the tw200..is freaking finding one!!

I notice everyone speaks of the changes on the TW ,going to front disc brake and removing the kickstarter. I thought I read somewhere that they also upgraded the stator to put out a higher amperage, which would make sense since they removed the kickstarter.

I've got the xt250 and wish they would put that engine in and some upgraded suspension for fat dudes. Otherwise its perfect as is....wish still had kickstart backup since its carbed.

I'm waiting on fuel injection cuz my carb keeps plugging while up in the woods. Ride it in, push it out. Had tank coated for rust inside. Paid to have carb cleaned. I think he just hit fuel inlet with air. Mine still has kick starter.

How do you think this would be as a womans bike for property or camping use?

I've seen numerous videos on the TW, yours is the best at explaining what these bikes are all about. I just put a deposit on one and hopefully will have it in about a month. Your video shows you have a well rounded level of experience with motorcycles. People I've mentioned TW's to generally say, oh that's too small, why don't you get a 450. < The folks who say this generally have little to no experience with motorcycles. I tell them the TW is about getting you way out away from it all and back while sipping fuel. I have an 01 Honda CR-500/Yamaha R-1/old KDX-250 2-cycle and have had NUMEROUS other bikes. Again you explained the TW perfectly.
