Many synth manufacturers used off-the-shelf power supplies in the 80s. Today that means that all this re-capping business aren't the cheapest or best solutions when the factory installed PSU's begins to fail. The better option is to use a off-the- shelf PSU like the ones Mean Well makes.
The Mean Well PSU I use is the RT-65C.
