I wish you would do a video on how to change spark plugs on an 09 phazer. This video was very helpful for viper owners. Would love to see one for a nytro too. John
I just got one with my friend they give you the update software update fuel management is it reliable for you do you like it do you love it I love the way it looks
Thanks for the video Mike !!! Had mine apart last night to that point but no way to get a plug wrench into the plugs from the side. Are you using a special / jointed plug wrench for this ? Thanks 👍
It’s been a while but ya I think I had to use a swivel joint and extension to get socket in there and then connect ratchet. But like I said was while ago now. I was able to get them out for sure though. At time I though they may have been fouled from starting issues. Lol but that’s another video..hahaha
Thanks Dan! No I haven't had that problem with mine. Start with checking for voltage at the actuator connection when you press the button. If there is voltage there maybe the actuator has gone bad. That maybe the simplest fix... If you hear the actuator working maybe an internal chain case problem. hopefully not though.
Also check the relay I think my fan relay has gone bad in my sled. The fuel pump and starter relays are known to fail. So wouldn’t be surprised if relay for reverse actuator may have failed. I’m in the process of getting all new relays that are freeze proof and will be doing a video on that in the future.
I got a problem with my relay on my 2014 sr viper might have to change the hole wire harness or get it re soldered my uncle wiggled the hell out of the fuel pump relay amd a few others might of ruined em
Got a question for you started my sled got up to 66° was running for 4 minutes died out couldn't get to start it back up unless I used starting fluid then it would die back out again not running on all cylinders could I have found all the plugs bad fuel pump give me some input if you can night before we are working on the track turning the sled on and off running it adjusting things just what the suspension that's all started it up in the morning loaded it up into the trailer no problemo went on a trip started it worked on it for 5 hours couldn't figure nothing out help
@@bikermike Thanks for replying so quick......Ya its just i want to install led so im kinda getting ready before buying some in case its to much of a job for me
seeing that viper`s have starter problems, could you show us a video on how to change one? im on my 3rd starter on a `14 viper and dont wanna go to dealer anymore, rather do it myself.
I got as far as yiu did Biker Mike, but found it near impossible to get leverage in that small area for the first plug let alone the furthest third plug. Do you need a special tool to get the caps off? They pull straight upward? Am afraid to break it. You will be able to get that long plug wrench down into the hole?
I did replace my plugs after break in. I remember it being a tight job but did get it done. Can’t remember exactly how I did it. Make sure you don’t put a socket in you can’t get back out with a tight fitting extension.
@@bikermike Very difficult to get at. I took it in to dealer to replace them. They said it was NOT EASY! I think new plugs may have helped with the starting issue, but yesterday it took a long time after about 6 tries to get it going. New fuel with Seafoam is present as is "no freeze relays". It was left out overnight at -15C. It finally fired up either because I warmed up the relay fuse box a bit ... or when I pinned the throttle wide open and it fired. Not sure which caused it to fire up ... what are your thoughts?
That's too much stuff to remove to change spark plugs that's why I like my Yamaha 2 stroke triple V-Max change spark plugs have a smoke and a beer under 2 minutes
