Swen Sterckx I assume you're referring to the white wall inserts he used? Those inserts are designe to run on the wheel without causing interference man. The manufacturer knows what they are building and the dangers associated with something like their insert. the pressure on the wheel from the tire is so immense that once its inflated you couldn't pull it out if you tried. Also considering the fact that hes running spoked wheels that means hes running an innertube which means the tube would increase the density/amount of material that would be putting pressure against the rim pinning the insert in that much more. You should try them. They look amazing and are a very cost effective way to achieve the white wall look. It won't even cause the wheel to be out of balance.
RC maniac Nice idea. But you will be spending loads of time & money on a bike you won't be able to sell on at a decent price later. I'd say spend some cash getting your full license, and break into projects on full size bikes, where you can recuperate your expenses by selling your completed bike.
It says "this video is unavailable on this device" I tried watching it on my computer and smartphone but it keeps saying that. I loved this video, it gives me motivation to work on my bike but I can't watch it anymore
Dude.... take the front wheel out and paint the front forks... now you have more time spent to tape it off/maks it.... And the risk that you have missed some spots... front wheel out is 1 minute
I know. I was just 16 years old at the time and didn`t knew so much. I`ve have never done anything like this. This was my first project. There`s are a lot of things i would change and do better if i had a project today :) Cause now i have more experience :)
Robin Håkenrud Edvardsen For the future, i want to give you one tip. Dont lower the back without getting the swingarm pivoting from a new place, keeping the swingarm angle correct (between wheel nut and seingarm pivot) (usually this is such a huge job youre better of just building your own frame from scratch tbh). On a 125 it might go unnoticed, but when you get to more powerful bikes you will notice that this change will completely collapse the rear suspension during acceleration and it will lead to loss of grip as a result. From factory you usually want to raise the rear of a bike a little to get optimal swing arm angles and trail on the front. This compromise for looks/ease to flatfoot the bike is a very common thing people do when getting into biking, just wanted to point it out to you so you know for future projects 👊 Awesome build otherwise, i couldnt have pulled that off when i was 16. Well done!
I was about to comment that you should have disassembled the bike before painting anything, but then I read you were 15 at the time and I would've done a shitty job back when I was that young. So I have nothing to say, it turned out great! 😂
So basically dude changed the seat. Got skills. Creative and you can improvise. I think its stupid to ride without the tail though, im not even sure if testicle and tire should be in the same sentence
I cryed when you painted the tank lol :( Love the bike im been building a xv250 over on my channel, just did a solo seat on it, you got yourself a new subscriber
First of all you are a piece of shit. That bike is a friggin classic yamaha 250 bitchhh. It was one of the coolest cruiser bike when it was launched back . My dad bought it when i finished my highschool for me to go to college. I fixed its handle and drilled a hole on its both exhaust. Students at college use to give me side eyes, front eyes, back eyes lol. That bike is the reason i got laid during my college days.
Great job on the conversion. Digging the white wall setup. Need those for my fat boy. Too bad you couldn't get it to sound a little meaner...even for a small bore machine. Almost 800,000 views! Killin it, bud. Do another.
I can advise you ... always disassemble the motorcycle before painting and paint the motorcycle after the fabricacion process . All and all good job kido
i'm glad u keepin the two back suspension ! every bobber addict put a type of bar at this place but i think its shit to drive a bike like that, it's better to have the 2 suspension and its more beautiful too ;)
I like how you kept the rear shocks and didn't just hardtail the back. Damn pot holes and bumps in Europe are enough to shatter your balls riding hardtail lol. Awesome work man.
I know it's not meant to be loud and grunt but since I'm used to hearing Harley's i think it would be nice to have no baffles in it just so it's a lil bit louder
Thank you, I will be doing bobber conversion to either Yamaha VX1100 or Honda VTX1800C, they are amazing machines, sounding awesome and far, far more reliable than Harley engines. Good on you bro! :-)
Thanks Matt! I have painted the tank with plasti dip, so i can just take the black paint off. I have been looking at some new projects. Probably a cafe racer :)
great jobs! I like the way that you rebuild your bike, I'm interested with the solo seat kit that fixed to, if you don't mind could you tell where can get that? and what inch of the spring that use for the seat?
www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Fire-Type-Solo-Driver-Seat-Base-Spring-Bracket-For-Harley-Bobber-Chopper-/182568223216?hash=item2a81ea01f0:g:PAMAAOSwax5YvPuA&vxp=mtr The springs that followed was verhy high, so i found someone from an old bike.
nice job. those bikes never looked good till yous. I spy an old marauder in the garage!! look up my Google page. I built my own belt drive . it has 5600 miles now with no problems or adjustment still running game prototype since it won't die. ;) you seem to have all the skills necessary to do what I did. parts are cheap. .
I love to watch things like this it takes me right back to the 70s when I was a kid and thought nothing of stripping down my bike engine in a morning in cold rainy old London...nice job...like the ride.
Really nice bike dude! The rear suspension, do you adapted the existing one or bought news ones? with the slowers lenght. If are new ones, could you share the specifications? I really like, congrats!
Did you find youre license from a cerial pack or something? Every kid would be riding a 600 or 1000s if the A1-license would allow this. Gains for the brains.
Sorry this one is a 125cc. 250cc big bore kit is illegal without the proper papers and new registration wich you need to apply for with still a low chance if approval in order to make it road legal. That is why it’s so uncommon.
Nordic Rider nice fender. now it is even better with that z-bar. I have repainted my xvs650 and xv1900, but my change was not that big (glossy black into black mat ;) however, I also did it all by myself, so I fully understand what it takes and what it brings!
nice, although you are not completely using DIY tools, but your style of doing it can be improvise by DIY builder..your video gave me ideas how to do with my 250cc honda...thanks a lot..ride on...=)
