All of these GREAT sounds can be dialed up in the CP series stage pianos. What sets the YC apart from those is the drawbar organ. Let’s hear more of that, please!
@@nathanaelvalville9191 Those 2 new boards leave me scratching my head. It’s like they are a mash-up of the CP series and YC61. Organists don’t want the key action that’s on the YC73 and YC88, and keyboardists/pianists get a better overall board in the CP series. In my opinion, Yamaha should’ve focused on improving the rotary sim and just come out with 73-key version of the YC with waterfall action.
Please do a sound comparison of YC21, Roland VR09, Nord Stage/Electro, and Hammond SK1/2 plugging all into a Leslie 3300. As owner of B3/Leslie 122 setup, I know that plugging even a real B3 into a keyboard amp instead of Leslie results in sound more like a Vox organ than B3 as we're used to. Demo with Leslie will boost the clones' authenticity, B3/Leslie rich fatness by 1000 percent. Onboard Leslie sims don't cut it compared to Leslie 3300 into good recording microphone. Viscount and SK1 or 2 aren't bad for sims, but still don't get the true Leslie overall sound. These You Tube B3 clone demos all sound thin, canned, especially top octave. It's mostly a problem of keyboard amp or directly routing clone with onboard rotary sims into a recording console.
Sorry for bitching about the last demo. This is basically what I wanted to see. My only suggestion is to put in the preset names being played as a caption. That would be helpful, so you know what you're supposed to be hearing.

Hammond have just released a new keyboard to compete with the YC-61 and Nord Electro called the SK-Pro. Would be interesting to hear how all three of these compare hammondorganco.com/products/portable-organs/skpro/skpro-details/
Theodore Dowman lol, yes, I've had that problem. Reality is, I gig with a cheap Roland Juno DS. Sure, some of the sounds might not be as good as this unit but for $1000 it's a great gigging keyboard. Doesn't stop me wanting something like this though, lol.
Forgive me because I know nothing about keys but can I control the sounds in the YC with an external midi controller? I have an 88 key Privia px 5s and was hoping to pair this with it and really like the pianos in the Yc. Thanks!!
Does anyone else think those acoustic pianos are waaaay too bright (as in ice-pick-to-the-eardrum bright)? Edit: I spoke too soon. The piano @6:54 was better.
Their CP series stage pianos, which are almost identical in design, come in 88-key and 73-key versions. The YC61 is Yamaha’s first real venture into the drawbar clonewheel organ scene. The acoustic and electric piano sounds on the YC61 are just bonus in my opinion. Otherwise, for synth or organ, you don’t need more than 61 keys (IMO)
I love your channel, but does Andeton's not have any Black or People of Color who work for them?? I'm sure if they did, they could've found a Gospel Player that could really take this new Yammy for a spin..🙄😏
JJDPRO MEDIAPRODUCTION Wow, where to start? “Black or PoC who work for them”. X2 Wow. Being not black myself I’m pretty sure gospel isn’t exclusive to BAME, or that Andertons follows discriminatory employment practices. Secondly,. “...that could really take this new Yammy for a spin” is like stating that a new Audi Quattro can only be reviewed by a white 17 year old who speaks German and doesn’t hold a valid driving license.
