Love the way you toss all the packaging away with contempt.... even the remote control batteries. Lol Relieved that you didn't toss the subwoofer across the room as well
"This microphone is tuned especially for THIS particular unit - it is not really interchangeable - so be sure to mark it and put it away safely." *recklessly throws the microphone into the wall with a menacing thud*
I bought 1 a year ago.Its really slim and doesn't cover the bottom of the TV.But the sound is brilliant and very loud even on volume 30 and the bass goes real low. Hell of a lot of sound adjustments and beam settings .The wall mount is expensive 60 dollars.
Do you have any other musiccast products or just this? If you do does this work well with other musiccast speakers? Also did you ever look into the Sonos arc?
Do you think this will work well with other musiccast products or is this a more a standalone produce that has the feature of connecting to other musiccast speakers? I know they don’t sell musiccast products anymore but we have a musiccast 50 and musiccast sub and I was debating if it worth adding this because of the musiccast feature if they work well together. If not I was considering the Sonos arc, any thoughts on that as well?
@@TLPCHC really what makes you say that, I haven’t heard any negative reviews on it. Also do you think a ysp 2700 and musiccast 50 speaker will work well together and an extra musiccast sub will work well together or is meant for multi room sound connection?
The YSP-2700 is fit for purpose witht he sub it comes with. If you need MORE, start withh the YSP-5600, or a more triditional AV receiver (and speakers)
I am thinking of getting it, but I am wondering it is a bit too high. I have seen it for about $1500 AUD. I am also wondering if you can connect rear speakers in the future?

The length of the soundbar is 55"? Here is a link to all the sound bars spec's: www.listeningpost.co.nz/products/archives-discontinued/yamaha-ysp-2700-musiccast-surround-sound-bar-__I.161193__C.50400__N.27756
@@TLPCHC This very old bar is for 1,100$ here in my Country and without warranty, for that price not having any new features it better at least have a good bass, that's why i asked solely about the punch of the woofer as i read it only has 108 watts or so, how is it performing on low and high bass?
For some reason the Connect button is now the input button, while the input button is still the input button. Outcome is I can't setup Musiccast as it won't broadcast the musiccastsetup wifi link. Grrrrrrrr.
Got mine today. The least you could of done was let the people know if it works or not! At this stage it doesn't! I may have to get a Harvey Norman Rep out and figure out why it's not bouncing the sound around. Sure I have Furniture, but that is where that special Microphone comes in... If you have it up and running let me know yeah? Thanks mate.
I think you need to check the set up of the TV and / or DVD player. If they are outputting just PCM Stereo you won't get the surround sound sound track (and the sound bar won't sound like it is going anything).
@@TLPCHC Yeah thanks mate. I've got it connected to my Topfield 7160 and yes its set to PCM or another setting called MULTI CHANNEL. And there are 2 modes for Dolby Drc Mode wich are... RF Mode Line Mode I still get stereo sound no matter what the settings but, Multi Channel turns the volume down a little. Anymore suggestions would be great.
The Yamaha has more inputs, is easier to use, has a better sound, better streaming features, and better warranty... (what do you think I am going to recommedn?)
Bought ysp-2700 and today I'm sending it back. I knew that a soundbar can not match proper setup, but even my dated A1040 Yamaha receiver with a pair of Dali bookshelves gave much better and punchier sound. Virtual surround is a mess. It doesn't sound even close to real not matter how you adjust the beam angles. Sound is too crisp, with crippled mid-tones. Sub sounds fat and muddy, no matter where you place it. It's a step above built-in TV speaker and would be a decent product if sold for 500$
Yes - Welcome to the "Sound Bar vs Speakers" debate. Most speakers will out perform a sound bar. BUT speakers (and related cable) are not suited to every room, so a sound bar still has its place.
I think this is not the sound signature you connect with, but this is the best device for me, all around, i also know how to tune sound, with other audiophile equipments, this is the best for me I feel like I paid low price for it, it feels like it was made specifically for me
