This is part two on my 1987 Yamaha Ysr 50 Motorcycle! This is a very rare two stroke Japanese race bike that has been off the road for a very long time. In the previous video we got the bike running but it had excessive smoke and was running very lean so I figured the crankshaft seals were leaking. Make sure you go check the first video if you haven't already. At the end of this video I take it out for a little ride. This bike still needs a little work such as new tires and brakes but its running amazing. This bike turns heads every time I take it out and its just such a cool vintage bike!

Brings back memories....I raced MX and two of my friends had YSR50s, one swapped out with a YZ80 engine. There was a closed elementary school in the area where we would set up cones in the playground and race them! Fun times...I miss the 80's

I saved a super pocket bike same size as yours it’s 107cc they were throwing it away took it home and got it running. Only thing I need is the tires any idea where to find some?

FWIW that's not a JDM or has been modified. JDM ysr did not have rear turn signal stalks they were in the seat cowl.

Dont sell the bike if you dont have to, you'll regret it, prices on them are steadily on the rise and are getting next to impossible to find a clean one these days, these bikes are a blast to ride, get it registered and ride it around.

Yep totally agree! Just took me a second to get comfortable on it and it’s really fun to ride now! I thought I was too big for it for a second. Definitely a keeper👍🏼

@@Mechanic_kid do you think you'll mod it and try to make it faster or are you gonna leave it 100% stock, either way it's an awesome bike, it's a shame they are so rare and expensive because they are so fun to rip around the neighborhood.

@@briang4470 I’m going to keep it 100% stock. Runs great, just need to put new tires and brakes on it. I have another ysr that has a extended swing arm and a water cooled CR80 engine. That thing should fly!! I have one video on my channel on it. Unfortunately it needs new crank seals but is close to being back on the road.

@@Mechanic_kid awesome cant wait to see future vids on both bikes, not too many people out there actually riding them and making videos on them. The ysr I got had the factory tires from 1987 on it too lol they held air but were super dry rotted.I changed them out for a fresh set of dunlop tt93 tires
