so if you put the 144 kit on it, when it comes to rebuilding it, do you use the regular pistons and stuff?

Sounds like you can't buy a GYTR YZ 144 from a dealer.....you have to buy the 125cc YZ, then the Athena kit.

is the bike being sold as a 144cc or does it have a big bore kit on it

if yamaha was as serious about 2 strokes as they claim to be then why the hell havent they made any progress on em in the last 6 years. Ive been a yamaha man my whole life but unfortunatly it looks like my next bike is gonna be a ktm 250sx cuz when your in second place in a 2 man race that aint good, especially when your not even trying to keep up
