I see a lot of comments saying let it come to temp / let it warm up, I don’t know for certain, but just looking at the fact that he is in the middle of the farm. I’d say he got there on the bike so surely he had warmed it up a bit 🤔 I hope 🤞🏽 my opinion.

Let it idle for a bit before you go tearing it up. 4 strokes can sit and idle for a fairly long period of time, the only problem you run into is overheating when the idle for too long. Pull the cold start lever out and let it idle with it on for a few seconds.
The "cold start" Is called a choke, and if you have it fully pulled out (unless it's broken) it should stay out and it takes no time at all for it to warm up with the choke pulled out, which it's probably already warmed up having it's in the middle of a field
Who needs a helmet? I have a friend who wasn't wearing one and hit his head so hard on a wreck that he's permanently lost his since of taste and smell. Isnt that awesome! Screw protective gear!
Idle with choke on for 1 minute, idle gently revving to keep running with choke off for 1 minute, putt around in 1st or second for a few minutes then start leaning on her bit by bit. This procedure takes 5 minutes but after that She's good for the day. 2006 rmz 250 with 100 plus hrs on it with no rebuilds right here brother. I am pretty old though, can definitely Fly like the wind all day under 10000 rpm though. Nice bike man!
it has an auto choke it wont allow it to be on that long. Once the bike gets started itll run for like 10 seconds max and then the choke automatically turns off
I know warming up is something many people avoid simply because of a lack of patience and thinking that nothing will happen, but it's important just to gently ease the bike into its physical and mechanical thresholds, it doesn't often go wrong but it can definitely happen, start the bike, I don't use the choke, because whenever I switch the bike off I let it idle with the fuel turned off for about 2 minutes, so start, let it idle for about 3 minutes, then Rev, first gently, hen Rev about half throttle, then take off and ride slowly for a few minutes, ride slow then push it gently to full throttle... basically like stretch, then jog, then sprint.

I’m 22 yr old 212lb 5’7 I mistakenly got a 2021 kx100 as my first bike now after realizing my mistake I am stuck between this bike and the 250 2 stroke , I would be riding trails do you think this bike would work for me ? Power wise hill climbs and such or would the 250 2 stroke be better ? I’m so lost right now been watching videos for 3 days

@@mx55555 even if the engine is cold, it doesn't have to do that when you press harder on the gas. I had the same yz model with the same symptom. the solution was to adjust the valves.
@@mx55555 Ничего , у меня на ямахе 450 масло литрами жрало , за 3ч езды литр подливал , щас моторчик перебрал , шатун махнул , да поршневую кетайскую поставил , работает и не дымит , главное чтоб давление масла было
