Getting level 1 yamato (or as low as possible) can work cuz her spiecial doesnt care about her attack so you can put her in any team to die

I pulled luffy vs kaido and used kaido for the start. He boosts driven/powerhouse and dex/qck. This is first gp leader that allows me to use str/dex/qck teams comfortably. The burst is problematic: i need to be hit for 45k hp in order to use it but dex unit is sooo tanky that it works only in certain situations. No joke i had like 45 def, how am I supposed to take dmg? 😂

You can just run Yamato in not boosted teams and they will knock her out even at lvl 99, making her launch her special. No need for lvl 1 shenanigans. Unless you want to create a defense team for regular rumble or you get another copy
