Yeah it is. Vegita is part of a warrior race that transforms into giants and get boosts when they get severely injured. Humans are not any of that. Him surviving 300x gravity is a way bigger feat for his natural abilities.
My first instinct when I saw this WOW what an epic dude, he is just a human and this strong. Not to mention his training at King Kais planet, where even goku struggled at first. Absolute beast. Another scene that made me feel like that was when Tien stalled Cell with his beam attack and cell was hopeless against it.
Man was strong enough to not only stay up for a couple seconds, but get back up in 300x gravity. Bro may not be as strong as vegeta but he is way stronger that even he thought

Yep it shows Yamaha has the potential, a regular person would be dead instantly at 300x but not only was he able to crawl but even talk and breathe during it. If he started at 100x and trained his way up, no reason he couldn’t reach it.
Nah, 299x, MAYBE 298x. Think about the difference between you being weightless 0x, and you normally 1x. That's the difference between 299x and what he just experienced. He could stand but it was tough just beyond his capability. 299 would be him feeling roughly 170 lbs lighter than what he could just barely lift. Imagine ~170 less than your current max squat... It would be a breeze.
During this scene I think Yamacha may have been stronger then when Goku initially went up to 100x He’s spent a bit of time on King Kai’s planet which is 10x and all of the events leading up to dbs. If he had done more training he should have been the one to take master roshi’s or tien’s spot on the team, since realistically freiza was going to be on the team anyway.
He was a bit stronger than Burter and Recoome. 100x gravity wouldve crushed Ginyu. So Yamcha is extremely lucky he survived long enough to turn it off. I always tought it wouldve been hilarious if they found him the next day and had to scrub him off the floor 🤣
@@Zeriel00ginyuu has a higher base power level than goku when he finishes his 100x gravity training so he should be able to withstand that what’s impressive is that this version of yamcha should be able to withstand 100 times gravity as well
This is nothing more than an inconsistent plot error. Yamcha here is nowhere near Goku in Frieza saga. In reality, the 300x would kill Yamcha nearly immediately, and he wouldn’t be able to turn off the button. But for the sake of plot and wanting to show him competing with Vegeta, the writers allowed him to barely turn off the 300x.
The average adult male weighs 200 pounds. 200×300 is 60,000. Yamcha just held up 60,000 pounds of weight for a solid 10 seconds. Yamcha's a fucking beast.

Don’t use filler to scale people. This should have killed him. I can use filler to scale buu saga krillin above majin vegeta. Sure he’s strong, but this would imply he is stronger than goku when he arrived on namek and he definitely isn’t

There's zero chance after training with King Kai and the other training he's done that his powerlevel isn't above 90k. Goku with a powelevel of 90k was training just fine in 100× gravity. There's no reason why this should kill Yamcha. Also if you're talking about Krillin using destructor disk that's a terrible example since it's been stated it can cut through anything as demonstrated numerous times. So your using that for Majin Vegeta doesn't hold up.

Yet yamcha who has infinitely less potential reaches over 90k after a couple weeks? Goku reached over 90k from his gravity training on his way to namek. Gero confused yamcha with goku meaning he had a power level around 40k during android saga. And I’m not talking about krillin’s destructo disc. Krillin is stronger than olibu in other world, who is pikkon level, who ONE SHOTS super perfect cell, whose power level hasn’t been seen on earth until majin vegeta fights buu, of krillin is as strong as the guy who one shots cell, he is beating majin vegeta. But we know that isn’t correct because filler is rife with inconsistencies. Not saying it is or isn’t canon, I’m saying in contradicts itself in filler often so we shouldn’t use the filler to scale people
@Alex-gr3ep I'm not off the mark on anything. You have problem believing Yamcha reached 90k but have no problem believing Goku reached 90k after a week when it took months to reach just a few k. Theres inconsistencies in that as well. Also Yamcha fought with the Cell Jr's. Following your logic of Yamcha should have died from some gravity then Yamcha should have died from getting hit by a Cell Jr. It's a fictional show and they can make it however they want. It being "inconsistent" doesn't matter.
The worst part about this is, going by his training history, if he had simply toned it down to like x50 and worked his way up he likely would've caught up to Vegeta pretty quickly. Yamcha's weakness is always his mental.

@@petergeramin7195they don’t have unlimited potential humans are considered to have a power soft cap, they don’t just exponentially keep increasing in power like a saiyan. Go lift your maximum weight, then train and lift your maximum plus one kg eventually you’ll reach a point where you can no longer add than one kilogram and you’ll notice the time it takes to earn those increases increases. Saiyans biologically are meant to deal with gravity 10x stronger than humans and have things like zenkai boosts. Yamcha would never catch up.
300x gravity is fucking insane for those of you who don’t know. Humans pulling 5-9G in fighter jets begin to pass out almost immediately. Yamcha is standing consciously at 300G. Let that sink in. He’s one of the strongest humans on Earth for a reason (behind Krillin, Tien, and Roshi).
In the Buu saga, there is an alien champion that states no human should be able to move in 5x gravity and is truly freaked out when the Saiyans are not impeded by that gravity. I knew knew that alien wasn't powerful, but I didn't realize he was get owned by Yamcha weak.

He may not be able to go 300, but if he start at 50 and increase with a step of 50 each time, I think he can get to at least 200. With discipline, he can narrow down the gap between him and Tien and Krillin. It is such a shame that he appears too early in the franchise, so as it progresses, his role become so very insignificant. The fact that he was kept around till the end is already amazing. The author could have done him some justice.
I have to assume it doesn't scale this way but x300 gravity shouldn't be a problem for someone x300 stronger than the average human and yamcha at that point is at least 10,000 times stronger than an average human. No matter how you look at it he should be fine un x300 gravity if he can defeat any of the ginyu force.

since Yamcha met Goku, never has he trained alone. Where do you get that ? Started with master Roshi with Krillin, then Kami before the sayans with the z-fighters and then King Kai with the z-fighters again...
It was awesome seeing him return in the dbs manga and fought alongside the Z-fighters, that Z-fighters reunion had me in my feelings as a longtime dbz fan.despite what people think yamcha is not as weak as people think he is ...its just the writers have focused on the saiyans throughout the years and created OP characters for the saiyans to challenge which often leaves the rest of the Z-fighters sidelined .
The fact that he was still strong enough to reach the button just goes to show how powerful Yamcha really is. We just perceive him as weak because we're comparing him to gods, monsters, aliens, and robots that far supersed anything expected out of a human. I bet even Hercule is decently stronger than anyone from like Demon Slayer.
I think Hercule is supposed to be as strong as it's possible to be without using chi. He's legit superhuman, but not using hacks means 'super' human is still miles under the starting point of dudes who can, much less the literal aliens.
Yamha was jealous at the time. Even then, he felt that he was slowly starting to lose Bulma and thought that if he could train as hard as Vegeta, he would impress her.
To yamcha’s credit he stood in 300X earth gravity for a bit and managed not to fall all the way down to his stomach or back AND get far enough to turn it off and not die. As far as humans go yamcha is an absolute beast. Especially considering the only gravity training he had done up to that point was only 10X gravity. Kudos to yamcha for a feat like this honestly, its a testament to how tough he really is. Its a real shame the enemies he ends up going against are absolute planet or higher busting monsters and he just gets outclassed

I like Yamcha. He's an astoundingly powerful human but can't stack up to the super powered aliens of his verse but most other verses would think Yamcha was a god
@jknorr8093 he means how they cucked him in the later arcs of dbz. He became the butt of the joke, almost more than krillin. And I know why they did it, humans just couldn't keep up with the power creep of the saiyans, and they had new character to flesh out in the kids. But still, they did make him a bit of a buffoon towards the end.
Imho everything after Namek was poorly written. Toriyama even wanted to take a break and work on other projects, but his bosses kept pushing him to make more DBZ content. Everything after Garlic Jr. was a cheap attempt to recreate Goku going super for the first time. I know this is a VERY unpopular opinion.
@MrLee-cy1pw namek is the best arc. Would make sense in that regard. However, I don't necessarily agree it was ALL terrible. I think the cell saga was pretty good tbh

ok funny haha crater man aside props to yamcha for standing 300X earths gravity and NOT dying immediately. like i don't think people realise how powerful that much weight is. a good example is its like 1000 tons of weights on you [and that's not even close] x300 gravity is not just enough to turn you into a pancake it will stop your heart the second you enter it's environment. honestly we don't give yamcha enough credit, the dude might be on par with ssj1 if he trained harder, he'd defiantly be above krillan for sure.
That he was even able to stand and move as much as he did, going from Earth normal to 300x gravity in an instant like that, speaks volumes. Toriyama really liked to hamstring the humans to setup the Saiyans and Piccolo in contrast.
