7:53 In case you didn't know, Japan (Nihon) literally means "Land of the Rising Sun", so yea Yami is supposed to be Japanese. Not to mention he uses a traditional Japanese weapon and his name Yami literally means "dark" in Japanese, which identifies his whole power.

Since the Clover Kingdom is a fictional world, I heard a theory that Yami got isekai'd from Japan into the world of Black Cover. Explains how he randomly arrived in this land, why his power is so unique, and why it's never explained where he is actually from.
