Since you already did a non canon elimation, the canon ending isn't possible. You shouldn't worry too much about getting canon eliminations anyway, I think that doing whatever elimination seems like fun is the way to go. Canon ending is slightly difficult anyway so you should only go for it once you have a good handle on 1980s mode. Don't worry though, you're doing good. 😄

23:54 For the "love" option, it's a matchmake elimination. You can set up your rivals with other students who have feelings for them. You'll have to learn your rival's types and what looks they prefer to set them up with the student that's crushing on them

Fun fact: the bathroom tutorial girl has been in the game even before 1980s mode, because if you took a selfie in a certain bathroom in 202x (don’t know if it’s in the demo anymore) there is a chance that in the photo, a ghost of a young teenage girl appears

Hey man, you should do a quest for one of the male delinquents. I don't remember exactly which one you need to do a quest for, but they will provide you information on how to access a hidden mechanic in 1980's mode. I won't spoil it since it's really cool to just see it for yourself!

For an Easter Egg in the modern mode: go to the same bathroom Ryoba's first rival was in, then take a picture of the place she occupied when she died. If you know exactly what to do to get the results... I'll let them speak for themselves. Also, the first elimination you did isn't gonna get you the canon ending, but that's fine, you'll figure it out another time at your own pace.

Actually Ayano will also have 10 rivals (just like her mom) which will also follow different themes and on your last vid you just eliminated Osana the childhood friend of Senpai the next girl is now Amai the baker girl the game will take you through 10 weeks which is 1 week for every new rival which will probably get more challenging as it goes on since each rival has different stipulations you gotta find a way through

Ryoba's comments are for "the true ending" literally it's following the canon, but actually you can eliminate the rivals as you see fit, at the end they will give you a rating of "how good yandere are you" my advice? enjoy the small details, because although this mode gives "the full experience" of 10 rivals, in reality, it's not "complete", all the rivals are basically Osana with a different body and personality, but it is still very good, and it complies the function of "here you are your 10 rivals"

You should try to unlock the yakuza, if you do one of the male delinquents tasks (you have to beat up a rival gang), then you will unlock his big brother, who is a yakuza member in the town and you can use him to eliminate more rivals or help you out.
