Yang Yang did a great job in "Who Rules The World" and worked well with Zhao Lusi. In fact this drama done in 2022 still is in the list of top 20 Chinese historical dramas. You might want to ask Ms. Zhao and Ms. Dilmurat their opinion of mr. Yang on set and as a person. Perhaps they can give you a more honest and realist opinion. Yang Yang is a very likeable young actor. He embodied the character of Yu Tu in " You Are My Glory," with Dilraba Dilmurat as Qaio Jingjing. That was an excellent drama, produced, and directed, and it appeared he emerced himself in that character. It's my favorite drama of his. No one is perfect. Give this young man some grace.
Stop saying that Yang Yang is not a talented actor, just because you don’t like him in certain dramas doesn’t make him a bad actor. I myself didn’t like Fireworks of my heart because there was no chemistry between him and Wang Churan (she is flat ) Even though people were buzzing about the awkward hot kissing scenes it wasn’t good after all. In his defense In You Are My Glory with Dilraba , he received good feedback and the drama was a hit! Nationally and internationally. He had such a good chemistry with Dilraba. Yes what makes good drama is not just the visuals of the actors,it’s the story and the chemistry between the FL and ML how to carry it out-also the director! If you don’t have at least this 3 elements then it’s bound to fail. I agree with the cast of Lost You Forever they are just perfect as they were chosen. I can’t imagine Zhang Wanyi replaced by Yang Yang, or Tan Jianci by Zhang Wanyi. Those men executed their respective roles perfectly.😊❤ I can’t wait for the season 2 to air this summer! There's one drama of him which is my all time favorite, WRTW ❤💖💝❣💘 besides that whirlwind girl, love 020, GOSF, martial universe are also good & commendable. I suggest you to watch WRTW once there you'll find his perfect acting skill, facial expressions, stunts and the chemistry with Lusi is immeasurable, interconnected, ultimate, just fire💣💥♨️🔥⚡
I think he is one of the best Chinese actors, I’m surprised people think otherwise. I think all his dramas are amazing, his acting it’s so good it feels so natural and he’s very dexterous for action scenes. He likes doing his own stunts, I particularly enjoyed Fireworks of my heart really much. I was surprised a lot of fans thought it was bad.

Has anyone forgotten that he’s just an actor and that ultimately, in any production, there is an incredible amount of people that are telling him what to do, even in the matter of putting his hands in his pockets? Ultimately is the responsibility of the makers of the dramas, movies, miniseries, etc. to get to know the nuances of the characters been played to guide the actors. Many times, actors that have achieved a high level of respect in the industry will give ideas or refuse to do certain things, but at the end of the day, most actors are under the control and expectations of at least 6 people (writer, executive producer, producer, director, cinematographer, editor) and even private investors. Why putting his hands in his pockets is a sign of HIS disrespect and arrogance for the firefighters? It should be said that the crew had no idea of what been a firefighter in China is all about. That fans have the kind of power to raise or destroy an individual due to their personal likes or dislikes is terrifying; especially in Asia where so many people in the entertainment industry have lost their precious lives due to fandom’s feelings of entitlement to meddle with these individuals’ public and private lives. This kind of harassment should lead to prosecution for defamation and bullying, to say the least!

yy has always been criticized for his questionable acting when it came to romantic works but he really delivered in you are my glory and that boosted his reputation a lot. it's a shame he ruined that with fireworks of my heart (but i will say it wasn't all his fault alone. the script was terrible and his fl wasn't any good either).

He is a good actor, but he needs to fire his manager who just keeps typecasting him as a serious stoic CEO. Maybe take a break from romance and do more action or thrillers.
Its not about chemistry of the ML and FL are needed to have a successful or hit dramas. The main factor is "ACTING SKILLS". They have to show the viewers how they're going to portray their respective role. I'll give you an example: "Princess WeiYoung" starred by Tiffany Tang (such an excellent cdrama); "The Sword and the Brocade" starred by Seven Tang and Wallace Hou; "Goodbye Princess" starred by ML in "The Boss". Those are just a few cdrama that the ML and the FL don't need chemistry to make the drama a legend. Its because they portrayed their role so well and their acting skills are superb. No need of CP!!
Still fans of yang yang. Yang yang is my first chinese idol that makes me watch another Cdrama. I love his personality, smile brightly childish profesional at certain time. Although that is true he need improve his acting more.
I discovered #YANGYANG on 020 on Netflix. All other Chinese shows I have watched are because of him. Also enjoyed Avatar, WRTW and others. I find him a nuanced actor. When you are riding high, people want to drag you down. ( I have watched 020 2x now and am about to watch Avatar again)

Unfortunately, I don't have much information about the current Chinese culture, so I don't know what expectations they have for films and actors. On the set of a film, the director is the Godfather. If Yang Yang's acting is too narcissistic, shouldn't the scenes have been reshot over and over again until they become more restrained? Or maybe that was the point of selling the films to the many female fans? They always hire experts for special films. Where was he/she when he had his hands in his pockets? Why didn't they tell him it couldn't happen? ...and the questions go on. To "take the heat" on a man in such a case is very unprofessional, rather biased. Young actors and actresses with a very attractive appearance by nature. They are adored by millions in different parts of the world. They need to have very strong self-control and get a few slaps from life to maintain a healthy self-awareness. Anyone who has been able to put in hundreds of hours of practice over the years to develop his dancing skills to the level you see in the Dandelion performance has the diligence, discipline and humility to do what they do, so they have the intelligence and developmental skills and the ability to find their way back to the right path if they do go astray. His private life should only be of interest to people so long as they wish him to be healthy and happy on all levels (physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally). The rest, as the word says, is private life, to which he has as much right as any of us. In other people's eyes, the splinter in our own is the beam ;)
Honestly, all these years of taped shows, and the majority of people still blame the actors when it is the directors who control EVERYTHING on the screen. It's time for reviewers, critics, and commentators to set people straight about how shows are made. Every scene may be reshot several ways, and the director decides what makes the final show. Actors have very little input even down to which eyebrow they need to raise.

I have no thoughts on the claim that he's trying to look too good or perfect on screen. I do find his acting to be rather bland(monotone), and many of his roles tend to feel the same. I'd like to see him show more emotion and more versatility by stepping out of his comfort zone. I want to see him in a comedy, playing a silly role, or an intense thriller where he'll have to emote a lot more with his eyes and facial muscles.
In all honesty, I cant say hes the best actor in the world because who can claim that? I think acting is very much about onscreen chemistry with your colleagues and also on the director. If a director doesnt like the hand in the pocket because hes a fire fighter, then get YY to redo the screen. If the director finds his acting too stiff, do a retake. Based on this video (I don't know much about YY, watched a few of his shows), it sounds like YY doesnt have formal acting school experience. So, he would obviously need more guidance then. If you work with someone as awesome as Zhao Lusi, she would bring out the best in you because you bounce off each other. Hopefully, YY does some inner reflection and decide how he'd like to proceed further.

Personally, I learned to admire Chinese drama because of Yang Yang's acting. To me his performance is very good. But I see how the camera men insist on focusing only on his profile more than his performance. If he fails at a job, I don't think he is to blame but the people writing the script. Very true, acting is just a task or role with guidelines and descriptions attached which he’s just given to him and obviously if he couldn’t fit the role they would have changed putting another actor. I've notised that he choose to take roles where he can play an alpha male. He looks nice on pictures don't have many expressions and that could be fine in some roles, but he is unable to use his eyes too. He should try to better himself.

Не поняла из видео, в связи с чем такие громкие заявления. "PUBLIC ENEMY", точно? На основании чего? Смотрела с ним три дорамы и один фильм. Видела отрывки (спасибо платформе) ещё из двух дорам. Нормальный молодой китайский актёр, умеющий работать с материалом и внимательно слушающий режиссёра. Химия с главной героиней не случается? Ну, так если актриса деревянная, так и химии не видать. "Лёгкая улыбка..." практически вся на нём выезжала, ибо Чжень Шуэнь (если я правильно пишу имя) местами была кукольной не только по сценарию. "Ты - мой триумф" с Дильрабой не смотрела, ибо Дильрабу не люблю, но, судя по роликам и фото, там было всё отлично. Недаром рейтинг взлетел. Вон Шуран в дораме про пожарных и медиков была вымученной, поэтому мне Ян Яна было жаль до слёз. Вот не верила я совершенно словам о любви. Смотрела с ним и Джеки Чаном боевик 2020, что ли, года "Авангард: Арктические волки" и мне очень покатило, каким Ян Ян там был шикарно скромным. Они там такую командную работу показали, что я готова была аплодировать. В "Кто правит миром" у него с Чжао Лу Сы был очень слаженный дуэт. И в кадре, и за кадром. Я бы удивилась, конечно, если бы Лу Сы его не расшевелила, потому что эта девочка похожа на зажигалку - сколько не смотрю с ней видео с разных съёмок - движуха, обсуждения с режиссёром, взрывы хохота... У Ян Яна на лице было написано, что он удовольствие получает рядом с Лу Сы. И дорама взлетела. Народ в комментариях на платформе рыдал, когда кино закончилось... А вы такую ерунду собрали...

Тогда вы предвзяты к главной героине . Она отлично сыграла все положенные по сценарию эмоции , Ян Ян иногда был мне непонятен , но после пересмотра они уравнялись . Прекрасный сериал , смотрела много раз просто вам не нравится эта актриса 😂. Вам нравится Луси - Я с Луси смотрела Скрытая любовь ещё летом , но так и не досмотрела , потому как начал выходить Фейерверк моего сердца . И до Луси Я не вернулась . Ребу Я вообще не могу смотреть , чувствуется искусственность в Триумфе , но Любовь от Кутюр мне понравилась , ее игра там естественнее . Любимчиков особо не было , но нравилось смотреть фильмы с Бай Лу , против Лучи ничего не имею плохого но тот сериал так не досмотрела . Ян Ян и Ван Чуран смотрела впервые и этот фильм тронул до глубины души . У меня времени достаточно чтоб смотреть дорамы , я их тысячи пересмотрела , для меня много прекрасных актеров .

Yang Yang is a beautiful man, I think there seem to be some issues with what he has to work on and the pressure on him o be perfect all of the time must be staggering.
