Hey shane neaver really comented on this and i know its a old show but Yankee candle always comes out with new scents for Halloween and i try a few but to me when its that time of year nothing will ever beat the Classics Witches Brew,Spiced Pumpkin and Harvest ...James from Detroit .
Every Fall, I burn Harvest, Farmer’s Market and MacIntosh in three separate rooms at the same time. I love to layer fragrances and those are my three favorite candles to bring fall to my home 🍁
Thanks for reviewing my favorite fall fragrances. I had my candles ready to sniff while watching. Okay, I'm getting that peaches and cream note from the Spiced Pumpkin and I never smelled anything other that cinnamon and cloves before now. Just wish it had a stronger throw while burning. I just discovered the Spiced Pumpkin this year 2017. I love that scent. I don't usually try the pumpkin spice candles so I never thought I would like it until I smelled it at a store. Not too spicy and the right amount of clove that makes me feel warm but not hit in the face like cinnamon spice does to me when I smell it.. I liked Harvest and Farmers Market but Spiced Pumpkin took their place.-Ann

I do like burning these two together. Have had to do that recently, because neither of them are throwing. :-( I go way back with these as my Autumn favorites as well. Hard to choose; but if the house was on fire, & I could only save one, I guess it would have to be Harvest. ;-) Just really wish YC would work on the fragrance strength! Hard to have a "sincere" Great Pumpkin experience without fragrance... Thanks for the thorough review!🎃🍁
Thanks for the feedback. I keep hearing about "throw" issues with these candles. It's such a shame. I'm currently doing substantial research and working on a segment regarding throw and how to maximize its potential. It's such a big topic and there are so many variables.
Wow. Who would have thought, pears, orange blossoms and chamomile in Spiced Pumpkin!? I have a new jar so I'll try to sniff that out. I love both these scents equally but love them together the most. Even though I've been burning those two longer the Bath & Bodyworks scent Pumpkin Carving/Heirloom Pumpkin signals the Halloween season for me. I don't know it it's the scent itself or if I burned it non stop in the past during Halloween. Thanks for the wine recommendation!
True, those are great scents from BBWs. Maybe I'll go purchase them for a analysis. I think I'm going to make the wine recommendations a semi regular thing, as long as everyone finds them fun/useful. 😄
I just burned both of these candles in the two wick tumbler size, often together, and I totally agree that there is a chai spice note in Harvest. But I *also* get a sweet cooked corn note inHarvest but not in Spiced Pumpkin. Now I did really try not to be influenced by the label imagery lol, but I gotta say I really did get a corn note through the whole burn. For Spiced Pumpkin I got an uncooked pumpkin pie filling note along with vanilla and sugar. Did not detect any orange slice but I do agree with your "old cinnamon" comment. My Harvest candle is now an empty so at this very moment I have Spiced Pumpkin going with Kitchen Spice and that pairing is also very nice. And finally when I get out to the Deerfield store I am so goona search for Pumkin Patch! I had no idea until this video

Most of us know that candles can smell different on cold than when they are burning. To me the most important factor is how well the candle performs while burning. Do you burn your candles or are you just a collector? How many candles do you have in your collection. I would love to see a video of your candle collection. Thanks. Love your videos.
Laurie C ... Absolutely. Thanks for bringing this up 😁👍🏻. No question, smelling a candle cold will never give you a true representation of how it will perform once lit. However, if you can decipher top, heart and base notes, you can give a pretty decent educated guess how the oils will act once volatilized. I'll try to address this more. The trouble is, there's so many variables when burning (airflow, temperature, humidity, drafting, diffusion.... 😓). I find that a lot of people are quick to blame their Candle when they can't smell it, when in reality, it might be a simple fix... like turning off the central air or plugging in a dehumidifier. I'm working on a series of videos that will address these and other topics. I'll be partnering with some university professors to acquire some scientific answers. And of course, then put everything to the test. 🤓 I've kept my collection at a moderate size. I move a lot, so it's not very practical to collect. With that said, I was close to 150 Yankee Candle large housewarmers last time I checked. For some that's insane, for some a trifle. For me and my lifestyle, it's far too many 😁. I will be happy to do a video on my collection some time. I will put it on the agenda. Thanks for all of your kind words!!! 😁👍🏻🕯
