In 2001, The Yankees came up short in the World Series to the Diamondbacks in 7. Fast forward a year later, the Yankees would improve upon their previous year's record w/ a 103-58 season. Jason Giambi would have 122 RBI's in his 1st year as a Yankee, his 4th overall season in a row having 120+ of them. Giambi would also lead NYY in Homeruns on the year w/ 41. Derek Jeter would be an AL allstar for the 5th year in a row. And Bernie Williams would lead NYY in Batting Average w/ .311 and rank 10th in MVP voting. And yet The Yankees didn't even make it out of the ALDS, losing in 4 to The Angels. Well, in MLB 2003, I look to change history and make them win their 27th world championship 7 years early. Stop #1: The Baltimore Orioles.
