Hopefully you add next episode soon, im battling with similar overheating problem with my 2qm15. Just cant pinpoint the problem, waterflow seems good (tested also with bypass line blocked and thermostat out) i get about 6-7 litres per minute, thermostat opens in 50-60 celsius when tested, so seems to work. Wierd thing is that sometimes after overheat alarm i take thermostat out, its closed and exhaust manifold is filled with cool water, sometimes its open and water is warm. Good luck with your fix, looking forward to next episode. Summer greetings from Finland
Thank you my friend I’m aim to do the next video in the next day or so is I have just had the new thermostat and am heading to the boat shortly to start putting things back on. Your problem sounds interesting have you taken the exhaust elbow off and had a look in there? As it has a double skin and can sometimes block when corroded? Although that would not explain the cold water at that end. Also have you back flashed your main block? Sometimes there can be a blockage after the first zinc where it goes through the heat exchanger (a impeller arm or a bit of zinc this can stop the hot flow ever getting to the thermostat
@@solosailinghomeschool8627 haven't taken anything off yet, except some rubber lines. With first zinc you mean the one connected to 3-way joint? Anyways, I put some rust off spray on the zincs and will try to open them next week. If I take thermostat off completely then the temperature won't rise above 75 celsius, but that's not a proper fix of course. Impeller is ok, but maybe need a new cover plate. Thanks for your reply
@@janikoo9532 good luck and let me know how it goes, the front zinc has two hoses coming off it one on the bottom and on the top I have a video on the way about it 👍
