Toujours le même univers avec qui cette poupée tourne en rond en balançant ses bras dans de grands gestes maladroits, elle danse. La mélodie exprime tellement bien ses sentiments : incompréhension du monde mêlée à une certaine nostalgie rajouté à cela une pointe d'aventure. C'est magique, c'est merveilleux, c'est grand. La poupée se rallie au seul élément qui nous soit sincèrement précieux. Il s'agit de nous.

It's very clear that this album (and its theme) was the, or one of the blueprints for the Amelie soundtrack compositions. It's not surprising because a few of the pieces here were forwarded to the Amelie soundtrack. It is very fitting and perfect anyways, because it is more "traditional" and cultural, and of course, very French, which was meant to be the sound for the film, Amelie. If you think about it, other tracks could have easily been carried over to the Amelie soundtrack. I'm sure a number of them were perhaps considered by Tiersen and the director to be in the film.
