I like the show but this mother drives me nuts. Absolutely a narcissist and always wants the advantage. When she doesn't get it, she throws a fit and makes it so uncomfortable for others. This is a PSA of how not to be a parent.
I haven't watched the whole show yet but from what I can gather from the clips I've watched is that the grandma has a really close relationship with the FL. They are not related by blood but they are always together. I don't even know how they came to know each other. If you see the clips with grandma...omg, she is the cutest little lady ever. Some scenes broke me though ngl.
Here's the explanation. Chenghuan is the step granddaughter of grandma. Chenghuan's father is Grandma's stepson. Ever since her grandma was living here Chenghuan visited her and took care of her. The ML came just this year and was trying to impress grandma to take over Xingali(the restaurant). He is her real grandson.But he was only business oriented so grandma wasn't happy with that. So she did this maybe so he can have compassion and life nicely
