I just had my lawn area tilled. Now I have large clay chunks on top. So I can't take my lawn area level now with clay chunks. Will this work to run over the clay chunks to break them up when they dry out a day or two??
Hello Mike. You could do that or you could remove the clay chunks. Its a very tedious job, but after it will be much better. Most things don't like to grow in clay. Hard for water to soak in and no nutrients in it. You could get some good soil for about a hundred bucks for a dump truck load. But do whatever is most affordable for you. I usually do things on budget. But if you want really nice grass, add compost and sand. Compost to add nutrients to soil and sand helps the water soak into the soil. Plus sand makes it so dirt don't hard pack. Cultivate your seed in, so the birds don't eat it all. Then water it twice a day or at minimum once a day for about 2 or 3 weeks. Hope all this helps, take care and good luck. Also thanks for your support and kindness. Later, PEACE! :)
Hello Ashley. Yes, your right. It is best to add fertilizer. We got pretty good soil here and I think it's unnecessary if there is good soil. But your right. Thanks for your comment, kindness and support. Take care. Later, PEACE! 🙂
