That reminds me of when I was a kid we would go to a flee market at an old drive-in theater. Me and my brothers were tasked with wrangling up the stuff people abandoned. Then at the end I'd jump in the dumpsters and start handing stuff out. On our way home we always stopped at this gas station and got hotdogs and they always tasted so good. Back then getting a can of pop, a candy bar and a couple hot dogs was a rare treat. Nowadays my kids would scoff at the thought of eating gas station hog dogs and asking them to hop in a dumpster would be unthinkable to them.
Yes sir the good ole days. Sounds like we were raised the same way. We visited the dump every Saturday found some cool stuff as a kid. Scored on some brass knuckles that my dad immediately confiscated.
Great video as usual @Bert!! And freakin awesome job on that sewing machine. 😂 !! I’m just missing the longer videos. You’re definitely one of my favorite channels brother!! Stay blessed up there!! Rains coming through here now.. Should be to you within the next day or 2.. !! Hope grandma’s doing ok?? Also, keep your 12 gauge handy.. moles are coming in strong right now for us.. Damn things tearing up all my yards. 😂😂
Featherweight for $40? How fast would I have that in my car??? Kthnxbye! (LOL) I'd be USING that baby! I want the one next to it too; those old steel case Singers are tough and they sew multiple layers of denim. The hats were 60s hats from the days when a woman going "out" wore a hat. Shopping, church, lunch..hat. Went out tag-saling on Saturday myself. Ran into "Get off my lawn" guy, but it wasn't Clint..darnitt. Getting *tched out by Eastwood would have made my week. Buck Fever, Buck Six... more like Buck.49 these days if you're lucky. (btw - Cool World was animated, early 90s. )
Garage/Yard Sales are soooo very Interesting indeed as You never Know what Treasures You will dig up ! Love the Original old Ladies Heats - wow ! You came away with some Great Stuff - love the 7 Dwarfs and that Old Singer Sawing Machine in a VERY Good Condition - what can I say about that Fantastic Indi 500 Sweater what a Bargain - well done Bert - well done ! You sold some Gear and Fed the Cat ! Many Cheers from Australia !
Slim pick'ens with the yard sailing. Funny as heck when you asked that guy at the flee if was "smelling" or selling those DVD's 🤣🤣 Scraping in the Tesla. LoL. Best keep Scrap Farm secret.
Nice haul Bert. The world map isn't that old. Sri Lanka was known as Ceylon until 1972, where they gained independence from the British Empire, and Germany is shown as one country, but East- and West-Germany first re-connected in 1990, so the map isn't older than that, so not pre-cold war, but post cold war.
How were the prices at these sales? Saw some stuff i could resell if i could get it cheap enough. Best to you and the family Bert. How's grandma doing?
Hats can be mad money depending on the hat. I sold a hat for 50 thinking I was doing great, long ago - turned out it was a 750 hat. Who knew? The Boss did - me, not so much... :-) "A snapper up of unconsidered trifles" - my fave quote ever Bert. :-)
Not a big fan of yard sales. I don't go to too many anymore I used to but not anymore. You can find good stuff I guess. But you resale it at the flea market so it's good for you. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Why do people in this neck of the woods ha e boring ass stuff for sale. I watch Bearded Thrift Machine ( SC) and their yard sales have such interesting items for sale . Same with the ones in TN and GA......
