Boo! I hope you're feeling okay. The fungalitous just left my house recently as well. My husband was down for the count for close to a week. I just closed myself in with him and went along for the ride. I'm not sure if I had it because any symptoms were very mild. I just treated myself like I did. Get well soon!

I have loved the look of this yarn for a while, but my concern was if it worked up at all like Bernat Velvet or other chenell typeyarns. I didn't care for those as it was like a single string with a coating on it and the coating always broke easily and the fabric wormed its way out of stitches. But it looks nice. I would love to see it after a wash or two, cause i agree with you, what is the point of making baby items you can't throw in the wash? No one has time for hand washing and laying flat to dry when you have an infant messing on everything every 30 seconds 🤣 I'm on my 6th pregnancy, due any day now, and I only use acrylics and polyester yarns that can handle a harsh wash/dry cycle
I will start by saying that I'm in awe of you. You are brave in so many ways. I sincerely hope for a safe delivery for you and your new little. And yes, I'm a bit nervous and second guessing my yarn choice. I'll definitely include a note saying that if the blanket doesn't hold up, don't worry about it. I'm definitely sticking with acrylic and cottons for baby stuff in the future.
I am currently trialling this yarn for a baby blanket using the "crossed" stitch and was also wondering about the resilience of it over time. It is lovely and soft to work with. Also what are your thoughts on using a stitch for baby blankets that creates spaces, should we use a more closed pattern so baby doesn't get hooked up in it?
I think closed stitch patterns are much better for baby blankets. I crochet newborn blankets for Knots of Love, and they will not accept blankets that have open spaced stitches. The baby could get those little fingers and toes caught up. Definitely go for closed stitches.
I just bought some of this on clearance earlier this year and I really like it for making toys and loveys. I see it’s discontinued and they only have 2 colors left. 🙁
That's a great idea! I didn't even think of that. I just felt the stuff and thought "blankets!" I do enjoy making some amigurumi. I should make one again soon. Thank you!
