@@WindWardPaws I’m making a new tail with the ACRYLIC YARN and I have reached a dilemma.. I have a white tail tip made rn BUT I’m wondering if I should do the rest black (like I was planning) OR make stripes kinda like a raccoon? What do you think?

@@WindWardPaws I couldn’t sleep last night.. so I continued until four.. lol I ran out of yarn before I filled the base string so I guess it’s done..? I wish it was longer though. I think I might go and snatch a bunch of yarn from my kite that I used the same yarn for. I put it on at four this morning (when I had ran out of yarn) and it has a nice wiggle to it! I took a 2 legged stroll down my hallway with it. 10/10! Just gotta get more yarn.. 🫤

Yeah some yarns don't brush out well, that's why I suggested the type that I did

It depends on the length and thickness of the tail! If you're going for one similar to the raccoon one I made in the video, I'd go with 2 just to be safe.

OH ALSO IF YOU TAKE YOUR TAIL LENGTH AND DOUBLE IT YOU CAN FOLD IT OVER TO HAVE A LOOP ALREADY THERE SO THAT THE CARABINER WILL HAVE A LOOP

@@WindWardPaws I have enough yarn currently to do it, it is also nice cause you could make a multi-tail like a 2 tail or more depending on if you add some more looped yarn

Just attach the clip to your pants! You can also use a safety pin, which is more reliable in my opinion.

@@WindWardPawsI’m using a plastic brush and I used the same yarn and color you did and the yarn keeps falling out. It’s probably just because I’m ripping the brush through the yarn lol

I do 4 regular knots per tuft. I do the first tuft then on the "opposite" side of the braid, I tie on the other tuft. Then I take the third one and put it between the two, and same with the fourth one. I wanted to include how I did it in the video, but I wasn't able to.

@@WindWardPaws oo okay, do you just tie them on on top of the braid regularly? I wasn’t sure if you were supposed to put the string in between the braid or something

Depends on the length!! I show in the video how you want the folded over tufts to be. The more folds = the thicker the tuft

Yes! I typically do rows and then 4 fur tufts to a row, like in a circular pattern.

I can try! Cut 3 long pieces of yarn and two smaller pieces. Tie the top of the 3 long pieces with one of the smaller pieces. Braid the 3 long pieces, then tie it off with the 2nd smaller piece. Cut out a piece of really, really long yarn, around 8ft-10ft (the one I use in the video is close to 10 feet). That piece will act as a stencil so that the fur is the same length each time. Use this stencil to cut out 4 long pieces of yarn and 4 smaller peices of yarn, similar in size to the ones you cut earlier. Take the really long pieces of yarn and fold it over until it's around 6-8 inches long. Tie in the middle with a smaller piece. Cut the loops. Brush out the yarn (you can hold onto the ends of the smaller yarn) until it looks like fur. Tie it onto the braid you made earlier with a couple knots. I usually do 4 pieces of fur to a layer. When you're done, tie one clip or a safety pin! Sorry if this was too long, I'm not too great at explaining things. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them.

Feeling a tail or other animal body parts when you don't have them is considered a phantom shift, yes! But in your case it could just be a lingering sensation. Kind of like when you touch a fabric that feels weird and you can still feel it on your hands even though you're not touching jt.
